yup. I believe the part of the young black pal was played by one of Aswad. Or is this one of those apocyphal things...

Ooer, weird double post. What was the fat kid's character name, the one who was always getting jam in his face, cos he was scoffing at the wrong moment?

Other girl = Billie?

Tiger! Marvellous. A hammer production! They popped up in some of the comedy hammer films too. FACT!

I haven't seen it in a loooong time, but I can still remember the ever-so catchy theme tune, so classik in my bk.

Andrew L, Wednesday, 20 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

k-blimey, not THE Peter Firth was it? (Brinsley = Spring, apparently)

Jeff W, Wednesday, 20 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

For some reason we had it on American Saturday Morning TV in the Seventies. I loved it I sympathized with the fat kid, he was kind of femme and put-upon. I've been looking for the theme song forever. "On a London doubledecker BUS!"

As noted in another corner of the internet, episode 7 taken down for curious reasons :-( Worst luck too as it's the 'pop singer' episode.
