Yes, because this is a funny question, and it's definitely still on youtube despite being evidence in a criminal case.

i remember reading about this as it went to trial: i was kinda hoping against hope there might be some weird mitigating revelation; ie that it wasn't as fucking vile as it sounded at the time.

it appears not. despite being a hand-wringing leftie apologist, i feel absolutely no compunction about calling this cunt -- and everyone who pointed, laughed, stood by gawping, etc -- scum. after all: they obviously had nothing approaching even basic human fellow-feeling towards the woman in question. there's no excuse at all. fuck off and rot.

Reiterating my point from that thread, the only part of the story that makes it news is him saying "this is youtube material" and recording himself doing it, to that end. Otherwise it would never have been news and he never would have been caught and sent to jail.

So it's actually less horrible, in many ways, that what goes on across this overpopulated festering ball of waste every day that we never hear about.

Tom's right about this - the major upside is that dude will do time, that dudes like this are more likely to be filmed in the act, even if the downside is that you have to be confronted with the fact that there are people who'll film a guy pissing on a dying woman because they think it's lulz. But that was a fact before you knew it, anyway, truth is power etc.

One problem with Tom's analysis, much as I want to agree with it. He wasn't arrested because this was on Youtube, he was arrested because someone reported him after he came back to the scene and called the emergency services when he and his mates realised the poor woman was still in the same position as when they had left her.

I'm not defending his actions in any way, incidentally, he and his mates didn't hang around after calling the ambulance but went back into Hartlepool centre where they were arrested, if I understand the news reports.
