why was dom banned, just as a matter of interest?

JJ went through the suggestban system and discovered that due to gaming it with multiple logins and getting his count reset when his screenname needed to be removed in order to temp ban him because of a (now fixed) glitch in the system, Dom was significantly over 51 and therefore (shoulda been) suggbanned already.

That was really after the fact.

Specifically, Dom was banned for pulling up shit that people have posted elsewhere to discredit them on the boards and grossly misrepresenting situations due to personal feuds in an attempt to get posters he disliked banned. Furthermore, in an attempt to plead his case to get back on the board he wrote an insulting email to the moderator who banned him (me).

So, if you want to go on a tirade and say shit about me or magnify your dislike for someone else into a bizarro fantasy world where everything they say is racist and threatening, or deliberately misrepresent facts to discredit other people, you will get banned.

don't know if it's possible to "discredit" the lex tbh, but it wasn't like he hacked his blog or whatever. he c+p'd something from another website. people do it all the time.

it gets reset when your username is removed from the database and re-registered, which (due to a former glitch in the system) had to be done the last few times mods temp-banned dom.

I've said it before but I feel permabanning anyone is wrong. But then wasn't Louis permabanned and he's back so I guess there isn't really such a thing? It's all quite confusing. I thought Dom had toned it down recently but I haven't seen the actual thread involved here so whatever.
