The last thread ran for three years and was getting a bit long, so let's update things a bit. For those interested, here's where I usually find most of these:

-TownHall
-Jewish World Review
-Cagle Cartoons
-Faithmouse
-Patriot Art

-and the most WTF thing you're going to find in three copy-pasted panels: Day by Day

As always, if you find a new source for this shit, please add a link here.

Starting off with a Faithmouse, apparently not understanding the whole "marrying someone for a green card/citizenship" thing:

also featured in faithmouse: Neverborn, apparently an aborted fetus/angel/cherub thing

And who could forget Umbert the Unborn, the adventures of an apparently full-term, fully developed and cognizant fetus working each day to end abortion rights for all

That damn liberal media is at it again! First they hate our freedom...now they're after our mirrors, too!

While Sarkozy is most hated by minority youths in the poor housing projects on the outskirts of major cities, most of the violence was in city centers. Reuters quoted an internal police memo that said there had not been "any large demonstrations of urban violence in sensitive neighborhoods." In Paris, at least, the protesters were mostly white and under age 30, similar to the crowds who protested a new labor law last year that would have made it easier for companies to fire young workers.

Bit of a selection bias going on here, of course, since I tend to post any anti-Sharpton or Jackson toons I can find. I find the amount of ire and sheer bile directed at them to be hilarious and/or scary.

One of the reasons I pay attention to these things is that even the most absolute batshit/what-the-fuck-century-do-you-live-in/talking point-soaked /either-medically-crazy-or-have-a- perception-so-schewed-from-actual-reality -as-to-be-effectively-crazy/etc is that it's not just some random scribblings of an asshole with an art tablet wasting away the lunch hour at his dayjob. This shit is printed in fairly important places: WSJ, Detroit News, Investors Business Daily, etc.

In other words, much of this is reflective of what mainline American conservatism has come to, and the language it uses.

Sharpton Security Tightens After Death Threats
MSNBC, CBS Report Death Threats After Imus' Firing
The staff of the Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network reported late Friday night that they were being forced to tighten security at their headquarters because of the growing number of death threats against the outspoken activist.

NewsChannel 4 reports that Sharpton's personal security detail was being beefed up as well.

While Sharpton received some death threats since MSNBC and CBS pulled the plug on Don Imus' show, the two news networks said they got even more death threats Friday.

Note: this is word for word what is on the frontpage at [Removed Illegal Link] to the "Politically Correct" Cartoons site.

Every week Jim takes aim at the liberals in my nationally published, conservative, political cartoons. Bookmark this page to see my latest cartoon each week, and peruse the Cartoon Archives of over 400 "Politically Correct" cartoons.

Conservative and PC? Not at all... These cartoons are anything but PC. They are political and, indeed, correct. They also annoy liberals expecting PC cartoons! Also, from his bio:

About Jim Huber
Jim Huber is a nationally published cartoonist, with cartoons that appear in, most notably, National Review magazine.

He's been drawing cartoons ever since he was too lazy to draw realistic pictures. Actually, he's been honing his skills since he was about five years old (that's 28 years), but has been freelancing cartooning for over 18 years, starting with New York Newsday. He was a cartoonist and graphics editor for his high school and college papers. In college, in 1993, he started Politically Correct, which he continues to do today for papers, publications, and Web sites across the country.

Jim's current professional cartooning work extends beyond his political cartoon. He has drawn cartoons for various political, private, and commercial clients. In addition, Jim owns and operates a web design firm, Huberspace, which specializes in conservative/Republican Web sites.

One of the orginal reasons they banned loaded weapons in Nat'l Parks (unlike Nat's Forests where it's permitted) is that hunting is strictly prohibited and they didn't want any jackasses poaching endangered species.

a serviceable substitute for wit (Michael White), Thursday, 11 December 2008 23:54 (1 year ago) Permalink

I mean I can see the argument for concealed carry in an urban situation. I don't buy it, but I can see it. In a national park though, those hotbeds of crime and violence, sure, whatever, you batshit rightwing loon.

and yeah the literal depiction of the 'exposed' metaphor in the cartoon is totally confusing and dumb.

ledge, Thursday, 11 December 2008 23:54 (1 year ago) Permalink

Anyone remember a parody piece written after Virginia Tech, imagining what would happen if all students could 'pack heat'?

ledge, Thursday, 11 December 2008 23:57 (1 year ago) Permalink

I believe, under the old law, you could bring your weapon into the park but it had to remain broken down or locked or something and the ammo had to be stored separately or something. I mean, an outright ban would be an undue burden of people traveling thousands of miles, who want to get in alittle , legal hunting along the way or whatnot, but concealed weapons in nat'l parks is pretty fucked up.

a serviceable substitute for wit (Michael White), Thursday, 11 December 2008 23:58 (1 year ago) Permalink
