But you don't have to travel back in time to "do" Kate Bush OR Debbie Harry!
I don't think I understand the question. Are we traveling back in time to "do" the younger version of the celebrity? If so, I don't approve of this time travelling.
However, if we are travelling back in time to have lots of sex with REALLLY old celebrities, or even dead ones, then I would do....all of the Cartwrights from Bonanza. And probably the entire cast of Big Valley as well.

I have a friend who has a thing for Dirk Bogarde, but that attraction is lost on me totally.

Because I'm aware that not everyone wants to talk about Kraftwerk as much as I do right now, derailing to here:

Favourite Member of Kraftwerk (classic line-up)

The Hauntology of Celebrity (Branwell with an N), Sunday, 9 August 2015 17:53 (9 months ago) Permalink

Supersister are fast becoming one of my favourite prog bands and from looking at the sleeves of the albums I've become enchanted by the appearance of Robert Jan Stips. Slightly weird looking but also one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen.

Robert Adam Gilmour, Sunday, 9 August 2015 20:28 (9 months ago) Permalink

That one guy looks uncannily like David Gilmour.

rack of lamb of god (WilliamC), Sunday, 9 August 2015 20:34 (9 months ago) Permalink

He does but I think Stips gets the edge for sweetness and prettiness.

Robert Adam Gilmour, Sunday, 9 August 2015 20:37 (9 months ago) Permalink

OK, maybe the earlier experimental traffic cone stuff is a bit wibbly and rather sexless

i think this https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CLuvw4yWsAEixhy.jpg nsfw 1971 tour poster wishes to disagree but tbh i don't have an assessment of it besides 'O_o'

Merdeyeux, Sunday, 9 August 2015 20:45 (9 months ago) Permalink

(i'll warn you in advance that it's not the good kind of nsfw you may be anticipating)

Merdeyeux, Sunday, 9 August 2015 20:46 (9 months ago) Permalink

Oh no my phone really does not get along with photobucket so I am going to have to wait until tomorrow to see the pretty prog boy

Merdeyeux, I know exactly which poster you mean without having to click on the link, and all I can say to you is: that poster does not, to me, signify "sexy" but as the owner of a... Y'Know it signifies "OUCH OUCH OUCH THAT DOES NOT GO IN THERE!"

The Hauntology of Celebrity (Branwell with an N), Sunday, 9 August 2015 20:59 (9 months ago) Permalink

i am sure, the O_o factor is working on several levels

Merdeyeux, Sunday, 9 August 2015 21:04 (9 months ago) Permalink

I suppose the question of whether Kraftwerk's music is sexy or sexless comes down to one's attitudes about these topics:

Are androids sexy? YES!
Are machines sexy? YES!
Are trains sexy? YES!
Is technology sexy? YES!
Is physics sexy? YES!
Are fast cars and racing cycles sexy? Well I'd say no but British television programming seems to suggest otherwise.

Your mileage may vary.
