All I know is that '??????' is Russian for 'Hello', and this seems to be a derivation of some sort. So you have crazy Russian bear that says 'Hello!' Who comes up with this shit anyway?

But it's not "preevyet" -- the spelling's different.

I think PREVED = Russian "HI DERE," AOL speak, etc. some of the other spelling up there is weirdly phonetic, too.

Right, 'preved' is distorted 'privet'=hi (rather than hallo). There is kind of fashion in Russia right now -- people invent funny distorted versions of Russian words. It began with just mocking bad grammar writing but soon transformed to more sophisticated distortions -- so the 'privet' sounds like 'prevet' but never like 'preveD'.

Preved = Privet in new russian slang. We use 'd' to express more emotion phonetically. If it was 't' it wouldnt sound that rough. Originally it was a picture of two people making love in the forest and the bear walking out from nowhere. Then, someone put a greeting on the picture, since its bear it speaks in a rougher way than a human being.

I don't get it, is everything supposed to be mispelled on purpose? Most of the Russian words here are spelled incorrectly, so ... is that on purpose or not?!
And it's "Privet" not "Preved".
