I think my co-worked is having some sort of mental breakdown, she phoned the boss at home last night to say she wants to go part time then didn't show up today. She just phoned me and started talking about her life plans.....

That whole "kill 'em with kindness" method is the most worthless fucking passive-aggressive way of dealing with shit ever.

what dan said. also it can be a really effective way of defusing a situation and actually dealing with the problem (instead of having to deal with angry emotionalification)

Then a cop came around the corner and BAM, hit the dude with a flashlight and the blade fell to the ground. It was pretty clear which method was more effective.

When I think of killing with kindness, I think of these Betty White type ladies smiling and making excuses and "defusing situations" by saying, Oh that Bert is such a bear sometimes, and then spending most of their private spare time sneaking sips of Southern Comfort in the laundry room.

except for the whole going to jail and possibly being executed thing, of course.

i have been rude to so many innocent people over the phone this week because there have been endless holdups in getting my prescription sorted out and i don't have time to calm down between phone calls

it makes me feel like an awful person, like an angry white male whining to a person who is just doing their job, but it's so frustrating to have your health and life in the hands of people who keep fucking up constantly in urgent situations

It sounds terrifying tbh. Being an advocate for your own health is a completely unfair demand when you are in pain/sick/not focused on advocacy while you're suffering.

I believe crüt and I deal with precisely the same company. I have been equally rude, cursing the "patient care advocate" (phone drone) once or twice over the last two years.

This is not my job, I have a disease. My patience is not unlimited.

ie up to 20 phone calls in one week to get one prescription shipped

my gf has been dealing with the same thing this month. prescription not arriving when she goes to pick it up, they say it will take 2 weeks to get it in stock, a dozen+ phone calls to pharmacies all over the city, trying to get the prescription filled. it's maddening.

I have scheduled a meeting with my doctor tomorrow solely to bitch about this.

praying that my medication finally comes tomorrow. I was supposed to take it on Monday.
