This is what I know I have in my cupboard and fridge.

2 chicken breasts
1 pot natural yoghurt
1 onion
About 5 tomatos
salt, pepper, cumin, turmeric, coriander

You can add other ingredients too but they need to be common ones you can get at any grocers, and inexpensive.

Must serve two.

Cheers!

Balti Murgh Rogan - needs some garlic and maybe some fresh chilli. Make a curry sauce first, then quickly stir fry the chicken in a wok and add the sauce. Serve with a tarka dhal and naan bread.

"Make a curry sauce first" - can you expand pls?

(I should have said that all recipes need to be pitched at a how-to-cook-an-egg Delia level)

1. from the shop get some GARLIC
2. peel crush yr garlic, fry it for a couple of secs in a saucepan w/ some oil
3. add chopped onions
4. and all yr spices
5. and the chicken
6. when the chicken is browned add some stock and brew it for a while
7. eat it with some yoghurt spooned over if it is too hot.

I wd recommend getting some cinnamon and adding that im, omitting the turmeric cos cinammony chicken curries are my new fave thing! But if not, you will end up with a tomatoey sauce if you add a can of chopped tomatoes at the chicken browning stage. Yer get meh?

Or
1) Mix spicey things in with yoghurt (you could also get some tandoori powder - weirdly corner shops seem to stock this).
2) Plonk chicken in yoghurt.
3) Leave for a bit.
4) Put on some foil and grill
5) Eat with tomato salad.

Yep tandoori chicken's actually p easy in the oven, marinate chicken in yog mixed with the spices and then drape it over cake racks and bake the shit out of it til it gets all those burnt bits on.

mix can of corn with black beans. eat.

if you have time, run out to the store and buy a lime, some cumin & chili powder, olive oil and a couple red or green peppers. chop the peppers in w corn & drained rinsed beans, dress w lime, oil and spices. makes a nice salad.
