Probably but this is Big Clubbism gone mad when you consider the two Milan clubs are in decline (much like one or two World's Biggest Clubs I could make). Roma are much closer to winning the league than they are right now.

re AC the biggest:

I was going to say, cos Turin is like eg Swindon?, but looked up population and in fact it's vastly bigger than most English cities including Manchester.

the pinefox, Monday, 29 May 2017 08:49 (six years ago) link

As is Verona. Crikey!

the pinefox, Monday, 29 May 2017 08:51 (six years ago) link

It's a personal impression based on being, well, impressionable during the early 90s.

In fact if I were comparable to any one player I like to think I've got a knack for the Papin volley

From this remarkably minimal / stub list

https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Italian_football_teams

Roma seem to me the 4th biggest club.

Juve have always been the biggest club within Italy

Even if both Milan clubs have done better in Europe

I mean I don't really be able to look at other teams and whatnot now but is Jesus Navas on a free at 31 not pretty tempting

D'mnuchin returns (darraghmac), Monday, 29 May 2017 11:20 (six years ago) link

Well you're only going to get two seasons out of Jesus at that age

lol @ the torino chairman

“Hart made a few mistakes, especially when coming out for the ball,” Cairo said. “He is an important goalkeeper. We probably didn’t expect so many mistakes from an England international… but he did some good things, too.”

Same. How would that work? In his first year without Zlatan at PSG, Cavani has had a great season (49 goals in 50 games!). Auba would be of value to any top club, but I'd say PSG prob need him the least.

Puel out. Silva must be stabbing holes in his Watford contract in frustration.

Southampton have finally got tired of Liverpool using them as unofficial feeder club.

How do you think I feel, Celtic are Southampton's unoffficial feeder club.

Discussing his situation, Nolito revealed he has struggled to learn English during his one year at the Etihad Stadium and claimed his daughter’s face was a different colour now than it was when he arrived due to the cold conditions in the country.

“I have learnt very, very little English – it’s very hard. Just ‘tomorrow’, ‘good morning’, ‘good afternoon’ and a little more,” he told Onda Cero. “My daughter’s face has changed colour – it looks like she’s been living in a cave.”

Very encouraging words from Toby.

D'mnuchin returns (darraghmac), Wednesday, 7 June 2017 17:10 (six years ago) link

Really bad situation, I dunno if the hype about VVD is merited but he seems better than taking a punt on whoever the fuck else we have lined up. Assume Liverpool had to make that statement to avoid getting formally reported or something.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 7 June 2017 19:29 (six years ago) link

This is both deeply disappointing and massively embarrassing. Was gonna be the nice bit of good news that got me through the inevitable disappointment of the next couple of days. Wake me up when it's August

i know kore-eda (or something), Wednesday, 7 June 2017 20:48 (six years ago) link

I read earlier that Southampton are still formally reporting them.

That is completely embarrassing. VvD wanted to go to Liverpool, too, liking Klopp and all, I gather from Dutch media. What a way to blow it.
