you're listening to tunes or television or w/e on your headset, can't really hear what anybody is saying. someone (family, friend) approaches you and starts talking to you as if you can hear them, even though they can see you have headphones on and likely can't hear them unless you stop what you're doing.
what is the appropriate response?
