I'm gonna regret my current ILXORin' giddyness later.. I know it.

mike (ro)bott, Sunday, 13 October 2002 04:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Um.....
personally, I have not yet had a relationship with any woman that was younger than me. I have always seemed to gravitate to women that are a few years older. Don't really know why.
The range of women that I find attractive seems to be mostly in the '5-to-10-or-so-years-older-than-me' category. Yes, I do like younger women and am attracted to some, but somehow I seem to hold little emotional and intellectual interest in them.
Um... so maybe I do know why.

Perry Bernard (panterus), Sunday, 13 October 2002 07:57 (twenty-three years ago)

The last time I was with an older woman (not much older) I was keenly aware that she was a bit more... ravaged than other recent lovers. I know that's awful, but it was kinda off-putting.

I also get intimidated by older people, by and large, so I expect the same would happen with a lover if I was *really* into her. All the relationship neuroses with an added cherry on top :/

Mark C (Mark C), Sunday, 13 October 2002 09:19 (twenty-three years ago)

they're pretty kewl.

webber (webber), Sunday, 13 October 2002 09:52 (twenty-three years ago)

I dig older women as long as thye are good looking, yes.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Sunday, 13 October 2002 10:09 (twenty-three years ago)

I think I have had any kind of relationship with only one woman older than me. She was great, and I have nothing against it, but most of the people I hang out with are younger than me, so I naturally gravitate that way for friends and lovers.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 13 October 2002 14:10 (twenty-three years ago)

For sex? No, not particularly.

For friends? Sure they're great!

rosemary (rosemary), Sunday, 13 October 2002 21:05 (twenty-three years ago)

Depends on how much older you mean. My first few girlfriends were all older than me.. and the girl I was crushing on before I met my current g/f was 6 years older than me.. so yeah I guess.

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Sunday, 13 October 2002 22:27 (twenty-three years ago)

The degree to which this thread has turned serious still astounds me.

donut bitch (donut), Monday, 14 October 2002 03:51 (twenty-three years ago)

I am oblivious to humour today

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Monday, 14 October 2002 04:10 (twenty-three years ago)

"do you DIG older women?"

No, not at all. I prefer slightly youthful looks (not too youthful, obviously).

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Monday, 14 October 2002 09:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Last relationship I had was with a girl who was 24, it failed after about 10 days but I don't think it was to do with the age really. Although I'd say the age could have become a bit of a problem just in terms of friends and things. I have no problem with it per se though, the last few people I've been into have been older so maybe I do "dig".

What is the cut off age for 'older' women?

calstars, Friday, 23 May 2014 17:33 (twelve years ago)

This shit is so stupid. I married a woman more than 5 years older than I am and anyone who wants to give me grief about it gets written off as an oaf and an idiot immediately.

king of chin-stroking banality (Aimless), Friday, 23 May 2014 17:46 (twelve years ago)

flagged calstars' post; you all should too

seriously tho wtf @ this thread

Kwotch Pawasites - Wrong Or Right (wins), Friday, 23 May 2014 18:03 (twelve years ago)

I don't get what he meant by ravaged. Did he mean... her body? Her spirit? WHAT?

homosexual II, Friday, 23 May 2014 18:18 (twelve years ago)

Because yeah, at 34 my body is ravaged. Love is a battlefield.

homosexual II, Friday, 23 May 2014 18:19 (twelve years ago)

All the relationship neuroses with an added cherry on top :/

not really how it works

Kwotch Pawasites - Wrong Or Right (wins), Friday, 23 May 2014 18:23 (twelve years ago)

my wife is 11 years older than me, our standard comeback to these kind of idiots now is "hey, we're even in life expectancy"

KrafTwerk (sleeve), Friday, 23 May 2014 18:26 (twelve years ago)

i'm pleased at how much things have changed, but wow

funch dressing (La Lechera), Friday, 23 May 2014 18:32 (twelve years ago)

Doritos Loco Parentis (Hurting 2), Friday, 23 May 2014 19:09 (twelve years ago)

funch dressing (La Lechera), Friday, 23 May 2014 19:10 (twelve years ago)

Groovy Wordbender (soref), Friday, 23 May 2014 19:12 (twelve years ago)

tbrr i have been feeling ravaged for years and i don't like it but i am male so that means i get to play an international spy i guess?

I was also pretty ravaged at 20, but I do miss my 23 - 32 year old body.
