it's like this, regular water, lemon water, and orange juice

mostly poland spring and polar, btw

what's your favorite polar flavor! i just bought a bottle of the limited edition pomegranate sangria. (i have also been hoarding the fudge cheesecake that came out last winter)

omg. i don't know if i have one, but i usually get the lemon, lime, or "orange" or whatever that one is

seltzer was my favorite. can't drink it anymore b/c of acid reflux and other reasons, but asking for complimentary seltzer instead of water was something my parents instilled in me whenever we went to diners and delis.

polar strawberry watermelon is so good, need to hoard this before the end of the summer when they stop carrying it

also got a bottle of blueberry lemonade flavor which i hadn't seen before today but is also in the limited-edition summer lineup

pom sangria as mentioned upthread is p killer too

The Strawberry watermelon is definitely my favorite though I also like the other two mentioned. The Pom Sangria was a repeat summer flavor from last year. According to their FB page "Summer has left the building. We stopped production of summer seasonals. Time to start hoarding." Get on it ciderpress. I'm pretty serious about polar seltzer guys.

I'm really glad they've mostly stopped with the disgusting winter flavors. I always try them all because I have to but they went too far with the pumpkin spice and cinnamon stick ones a few years back. Potpourri is not refreshing!

'winter citrus and berry' (tastes like grapefruit + mixed berry)
tart cherry and lime
cranberry clementine (v good, winner of this batch imo)
strawberry champagne
blackberry apple

Probably just some new subsidiary/brand owned by a mega-huge multinational. They're the ones who control bottling plants, distribution channels and shelf space. Check the tiny print on the label.

the la croix paranoia a few posts back is hilarious. that shit has been around forever - i remember seeing cans in college

Oh yeah LaCroix is ancient. Coincidentally we used to know a family in our town whose last name was LaCroix and they pronounced it just like the beverage too. (Unrelated afaik but similarly subject to Midwestern mis-pronunciation).

my stance used to be that lacroix is poorly carbonated, inferior seltzer, which it still basically is but the mure pepino is good

I am a sparkling water princess and find Polar and LaCroix wanting. Bubble texture is inferior and taste is plain tap vs delicious and perfect Pellegrino.

Whole Foods Italian Sparkling is an adequate (and cheaper) Pellegrino alternative.

yeah I don't like flavors in seltzer generally, just that one is good.

(all of this makes me come off really snobbish I realize but imo the perfect amount of carbonation is in regular old schweppes/canada dry)

best polar seasonal ever was fudge cheesecake, which tasted like a milk-free egg cream

strongly in the katherine camp re carbonation. my friend's office kitchen is stocked with lacroix unflavored and it always just seems like a defective flat batch.

It never even occurred to me to think about which seltzer has better bubbles. I don't know that I've ever actually had san p tho. Will try.

The Key Lime la croix is amazing just FYI but I normally reach for Polar.

Finally getting around to the cartston rhubarb and as mentioned it’s not a seltzer. 23 grams of sugar. I think they could halve that but that’s just my taste. Anyway it’s delicious as is too. Love the ‘barb
