It's like, here's the problem. You've got X% of posters who are just flat out idiots. This is like real life; the only reason it's vaguely more annoying on the internet is because these people are all convinced that owning a Dell and getting online somehow makes them more intelligent than the unwashed masses, so they try harder. Big whoop. Then there's X% of posters who are constantly angry and need to get a blow job seriously bad. This is like real life too; the only reason it's more annoying here is because these people use psuedo-anonymity to double the macho. Then there's X% of posters who are somewhere in-between the two, the ones that seem intelligent but are under some impression they are too good to actually interact with people, using ILX as some kind of sounding board for their own bullshit.

Then there's the rest of people, who have good and bad days but overall are basically tolerable. And quite frankly everyone listed above should be tolerable as well, there's no reason to be bothered by what some dipshit posts on a goddamn message board, at least not bothered to the point of threads like "actually blount" or "BAN LOUIS JAGGER" etc etc etc.

Posting this here because someone cut off Dan's get this off your chest thread.

This board isn't fun, it isn't relaxing, it doesn't give me any lunch-time respite from an extremely stressful job. It's asinine, completely fucking asinine. It's simple! Keep to threads that are topics you know about! Don't read city threads if you don't live there or are friends with the people there! Just stop reading threads if some dickwad shows up blabbering all over it, get in your last word and then LEAVE! How difficult is this? I've been doin' it left and right with goddamned Morbius, just stopping reading threads he's putting his not-even-worth 2c all over. Do it with whoever is bothering you!
