Iron Danger is genuinely terrifyingly bad. tt was saying it looks like a film by a religious organisation

Lots of big-name suckery in that last batch. Z for Zachariah sounds like it would've been more interesting kept closer to the book (which I just looked up, never read it).

I'm quite up for watching Passengers, cheesy as it looks.

In fact I'll probably end up seeing a load of these.

I think I watched too many of these in one go, had very odd apocalyptic dreams last night.

(Also I've now forgotten which one Passengers is, they really do converge into one.)

It's the one with pavarotti

Oh yeah, I have images off so can't tell if youtubes are embedded and don't get the preview image to refresh my memory. The first one in this thread, right?

(NB it's the one w/ that shitty Imagine Dragons track, yes?)

emil.y, Monday, 12 December 2016 23:50 (seven years ago) link

(Sorry, I don't think that needed 'NB' really, blech)

two weeks pass...

as a sociopath who has ruined the lives of several poor undeserving girls i guess i should appreciate what the film is trying to do for me, but it is bad. very very bad

has anyone ever actually seen Chronicles of Riddik? I always think of that when the topic of Sci-Fi I refuse to watch on principle comes up.

Seen a minute of it. It's laughably bad (not that Pitch Black is anything to write home about either).

One bad call from barely losing to (Alex in SF), Thursday, 29 December 2016 13:03 (seven years ago) link

I enjoy watching trailers for these kind of movies so much. Someone needs to figure out how to make a feature length movie structured exactly like a movie trailer, I would watch that.

our Joel explained the plot to me and my jaw wouldn't undrop for an hour

trailer does a heck of a job of burying the lede. but who is the real villain, the creepy guy who robs a girl of her future for his own pleasure or the spaceship designer who doesn't build in any fail safes or human oversight?
