No Caesar, no credibility.

Of these, French was my favorite growing up, as I recall. Consumed plenty of Ranch, too. These really do seem like an anachronism these days, though. I feel like there's not even a ranch dressing option with buffalo wings anymore, it's all blue cheese, period.

since mayo is the loogie of the Evil One half of these are barred from further consideration. it meant salads at restos were a challenge when I was a kid. usually resorted to French back then b/c it seemed impossible that it contained loog but in retrospect it was just ketchup no? voted italian b/c it's what I'd choose today, save creamy snot-laden variants.

Newman's Own Olive Oil & Vinegar--basically Italian.

Is it any good? Because Sund4r's Own Olive Oil and Vinegar takes about 1m to make and costs next to nothing.

So French/Catalina were mostly ketchup and Russian/Thousand Island were ketchup/mayo? I hate mayo too, although I was a little more open to it as a kid. As an adult, I don't even like ketchup very much, although I'll put it on fries when vinegar is not available (i.e. in the US, usually).

Same -- I was a young Francophile who even claimed the Renault was a wonderful car.

Now if I use dressing at all it's a homemade mustard vinaigrette or the balsamic vinegar/olive oil combo.

(xpost) I like it a lot, and all the money goes to charity. Was actually having it the night Newman died (which was the night of one of the 2008 debates).

Italian since all the thick/creamy ones are kind of vomit-inducing IMHO.

what's vomit when you get to enjoy a nice chunky dressing

tho i recognize the amount of dressing i slather on my salad a) makes me not health conscious and b) makes me not a salad connoisseur
