There was also a terrifying episode of the My Little Pony cartoon in which a pony rock star was revealed to have made a pact with some evil entity in exchange for fame that involved stealing the shadows (= souls of course) of the ponies at his concerts....even his own mother's!!!! I was going through some boxes of old toys over the weekend, I had forgotten how many of my sisters' My Little Ponies I stole and painted black with magic markers (indoors, brain cell slaughter began at an early age) and cut & styled their manes into mohawks, so they could be made into not-embarassing GI Joe steeds.
