i'm going over to my boyf's, he's working on this 3 ft tall hat he made out of papier mache and a tomato cage for a bookstore dada thing this weekend and i'll probably get some take-out. i wish i had my laptop so i could split up tracks i ripped from new records while he's doing his thing.

Hello, lovers. For some reason I've found myself simultaneously reading 2 different novels by Samuel Delany & it's doing weird (fun) things to my brain.

Last March I went on a sexless date with this fellow.

Last week I learned he was my new doctor.

he's cute imo but- wait, I'm confused- did he never acknowledge that you had been on a date ever? because that would be very weird if he had acted like you hadn't dated at all

He did say my weight and HDL and lipid tests were spectacular.

Is it possible that acknowledging the date would amount to admitting an ethical breach? I'm not sure how all that works but I know when my BF worked in mental health he couldn't acknowledge that he knew any patient if he encountered them outside the clinical setting.

My Valentines plans involve eating an unreasonable amount of cassoulet with my boyfriend and probably getting really gassy as a result. ROMANCE!!!

Anyway I am in a pretty good place this past month, I am on meds that are helping with my depression & ADHD symptoms, I'm back in therapy, I signed up for a foundation level drawing class at RISD, I'm working on a craft collaboration to incorporate my weaving with her jewelry design, my libido is WAY up, my relationship is strong, my dog is cute, and for the first time in forever I actually feel excited about plans & goals. I hope that my positivity doesnt come across as obnoxious but I just wanted to update with some good news.

• I am in a v srs relationship with a PROFESSOR
• I bought 2 Beyoncé tickets today, but then I bought 2 more tickets that were double the price but better seats, and I'm gonna sell the first ones I bought for enough cover the good ones so they will wind up being... freeyoncé
• I have new wi-fi light bulbs and they're just incredible
• I've gained like 20 pounds
• I am learning a lot abt compromise, commitment, and partially letting go of a fiercely independent lyfestyle where you don't really answer to anyone but yourself

once on an out-of-town trip i had such bad gas that B woke up in the middle of the night and asked "...do you smell gas?" (as in, "is there a gas leak in our hotel room?")
