is there any chance they'll have her back as zombie confronting her kids? in tv language they did leave that open.

if they don't do it i will be very disappointed
so keep that in mind, GoT writers, you could be letting at least one fan down

He is a horrible prick but I am enjoying the performance (albeit slightly less since someone posted his crap indie song here)
― bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Monday, 1 June 2015 21:47 (nine years ago) link
is there a Ramsey scene where he isn't eating something?

Ramsay's twenty good men are literally his backing band and some roadies

He's going to rock Stannis within an inch of his life

i want stannis to fuck his shit up
― difficult-difficult lemon-difficult (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 1 June 2015 21:52 (nine years ago) link
I quite enjoy Ramsay too. He seems confident about his 20 men plan but it would be funny if it went horribly wrong. It would be interesting to finally see Stannis as a credible threat to all the other rulers.
― Robert Adam Gilmour, Monday, 1 June 2015 21:54 (nine years ago) link
I fear he will get to kill Davos but hopefully the latter gets to do him some severe damage in the process (would rather have Brienne finish him off).
― nashwan, Monday, 1 June 2015 21:55 (nine years ago) link
I'm worried Stannis is going to die, that chat with Melisandre where she reassured him of her visions was basically "got myself a new boat, called the Live Forever"

hahah I just said that exact bit when the wildling woman was telling her kids she'd see them shortly

I still think Reek will do in Ramsay as the only possible way to get people to stop hating his fucking guts

i forget whether Dorne ppl are pro-Dany or anti-Dany
― Mistah FAAB (sarahell), Tuesday, 2 June 2015 02:25 (nine years ago) link
The Mad King treated Elia Martell poorly so Dorne is probably not inclined to like her, but philosophically I think they're compatible.
― polyphonic, Tuesday, 2 June 2015 02:30 (nine years ago) link
The wall was built explicitly for white walkers--If humans lived north of it before the long night and bran the builder, they were not considered a threat on the order of the walkers. But as the walker threat dissipated and the number of wildlings grew (through migration mostly), the wall became more of a protection against the wildlings. The gift is largely unoccupied because wildlings raid it!

ya, i'm pretty afraid Stannis is toast. or worse. possibly even his daughter.
― AKA Thermo Thinwall (The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 2 June 2015 02:39 (nine years ago) link
wait what did the Mad King do to her? She was his daughter-in-law iirc. Dead Lannister patriarch had one of the Clegane boys murder her and her babies.

i hope stannis sacrifices his daughter to lord of light that wld be the best plot development since ned got his head chopped off

wait what did the Mad King do to her?
jaime overheard the mad king violently raping her on the reg iirc
― Clay, Tuesday, 2 June 2015 03:14 (nine years ago) link
that was the mad king's actual wife, rhaenys iirc, not elia - not that it's any less hideous

I had it wrong I guess!
The Martells themselves were enraged with the murder of Elia and her children. Oberyn wanted to continue the war and champion the cause of Viserys Targaryen, the only surviving Targaryen prince, but Doran Martell, who had succeeded his mother as ruler of Dorne, knew that they were not strong enough and made his peace.
― polyphonic, Tuesday, 2 June 2015 03:25 (nine years ago) link
yeah elia was aerys ii's wife
― Clay, Tuesday, 2 June 2015 03:30 (nine years ago) link
wait no she was the daughter in law
hard to keep these people we've never actually seen straight sometimes u know
― Clay, Tuesday, 2 June 2015 03:33 (nine years ago) link

you guys are lucky they totes eliminated the kettleblacks and the family with the daughter who got raped and brain damaged during the kings landing riot
― Mistah FAAB (sarahell), Tuesday, 2 June 2015 03:54 (nine years ago) link
it was interesting during the Dany/Tyrion chat than when he was listing the powerful families he did not mention the Martels, who would be the most sympathetic to her right to the throne.

him saying there's a way out is p much telling her "uhhh youre fucked you should probably confess," but saying "the work continues" is qyburn-code for "your zombie guardian is almost ready"

Dude you have to please stop doing this in this thread, because even if you're joking you've already established you're an expert on the books or whatever and even winky half-spoilers or winky half-spoiler jokes are a drag
― Your Ribs are My Ladder, Tuesday, 2 June 2015 08:23 (nine years ago) link
Tbf, the zombie guardian has been shown on the show. More than in the books, iirc.
― Frederik B, Tuesday, 2 June 2015 09:34 (nine years ago) link
I wouldn't have considered that a spoiler until both of the last two posts.
― bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 2 June 2015 09:38 (nine years ago) link
Everyone should bear in mind that at this point book readers are speculating roughly as much as TV only people.

in theory
― bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 2 June 2015 09:43 (nine years ago) link
Also I don't think explaining something that is entirely inferrable from the context of what has been shown onscreen is a spoiler.

it's still possible things from the book could happen, presumably. anyway i am not annoyed, i just think i wouldn't have thought twice about sloth's post until it was highlighted.
― bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 2 June 2015 09:44 (nine years ago) link
xpost i agree with you there - it was just like a normal observation about how he appeared, but not anymore!
― bureau belfast model (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 2 June 2015 09:45 (nine years ago) link
Also we're talking about a character who hasn't appeared in any other context other than the creation of a zombie Mountain, it was completely obvious that was what was happening in that scene.
Brilliant episode btw.
― Matt DC, Tuesday, 2 June 2015 10:00 (nine years ago) link
Yeah it was sick. The production values are just insanely high at this point.
― the joke should be over once the kid is eaten. (chap), Tuesday, 2 June 2015 10:03 (nine years ago) link
I don't think explaining something that is entirely inferrable from the context of what has been shown onscreen is a spoiler.
I don't know, I don't feel like anything's entirely inferrable at this point, but either way Sloth has made it clear in several posts that he's read the books and has made a few hinty posts previously, so it jumps from "I wonder if my inference will play out the way I think it might" to "well I guess that's happening for sure"
I'm admittedly dim; I'll shut up if everyone's cool with it
