Reception
Movie critic for The Commercial Appeal, John Beifuss, reviewed the film, stating;"while robust Wikipedia entries can be found for the other Arnold and Alland science-ficton films, "The Space Children" rates only these two sentences: 'The Space Children' is a 1958 film directed by Jack Arnold. The movie was featured on 'Mystery Science Theater 3000' in 1998 during season 9.".[12]

The guilty verdicts were upheld, though his sentence was halved after medical evidence was produced to suggest he was suffering from a mental illness. Saunders was suggested by doctors at Ford Open Prison possibly to be suffering from premature Alzheimer's disease, a common form of dementia; if this was a correct diagnosis, he made a recovery unique in medical history. Alzheimer's, like all dementias, is usually incurable, being a progressive degenerative disease of the brain. Saunders has since maintained that he must have been depressed.

This process of trial and torture was known as "taking a shirt from Charlie", because of Charlie Richardson's habit of giving each victim a clean shirt in which to return home since the victim's original shirt was usually covered in blood.[citation needed]

Moody's family still remain a well-known close family among East London, his wife Val lives in Hullbridge, Essex, a beloved place of Moody's when he was on the run. Janine and her two children live in Kent, a much better scene for the children to live than among the crime-rife life of East London. The apple of Jimmy's eye, Chayce was perhaps the only person ever to make Jimmy think about his life.

fig 410 is my favourite
An example of EastEnders ' popularity is that after episodes, electricity use in the United Kingdom rises significantly as viewers who have waited for the show to end begin boiling water for tea, a phenomenon known as TV pickup. Over five minutes, power demand rises by three GW, the equivalent of 1.5 to 1.75 million teakettles. National Grid personnel watch the show to know when closing credits begin so they can prepare for the surge, asking for additional power from France if necessary.[116]

this kind of tea leaf reading re: the new radicals' potential 3rd single is what makes wikipedia great imo:
Although no third single was released, there are some (conflicting) clues as to what would have been the third single: Certain promotional copies of Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too come with a sticker reading "includes 'You Get What You Give' 'I Don't Wanna Die Anymore' 'Someday We'll Know'",[17] suggesting that "I Don't Wanna Die Anymore" would join the other two as a single release. Several websites selling the album also marked the track as "Album Version", indicating that there would be a single version at some point.[18] However, there also exist copies of "Mother We Just Can't Get Enough" as both a one-track promotional single[19] and as a four-track commercial single with a barcode.[20] These apparently never made it to retail and were probably test pressings.

the episode summaries on the wiki page for Interceptor have a vaguely clickhole-esque feel
Episode 5: Derbyshire[edit]Contestant Martin had a brief chase with The Interceptor but got away in the nick of time. Contestant Hillary was unaware that she was taken on a ride in a tractor by the Interceptor. The farmers at the farm where she got the tractor even go as far as helping him, all because, of a money bribe of ten pounds, and a further ten pounds if his ambush was a success. When he locked Hillary's pack, he shrieked many times and yelled in joy, only for Hillary to jump on a nearby van, jokingly threatening to hit The Interceptor with a spade if he didn't leave her alone. Nevertheless, the ambush effort was all in vain, as even if the trick did not work, the contestants still would have failed as they did not meet each other within the 40-minute time limit.First broadcast on 16 August 1989.

Main article: Plague doctor costumeSome plague doctors wore a special costume, although graphic sources show that plague doctors wore a variety of garments. The garments were invented by Charles de L'Orme in 1619; they were first used in Paris, but later spread to be used throughout Europe. The protective suit consisted of a heavy fabric overcoat that was waxed, a mask with glass eye openings and a cone nose shaped like a beak to hold scented substances and straw. Some of the scented materials were ambergris, lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis), mint (Mentha spicata L.) leaves, camphor, cloves, laudanum, myrrh, rose petals, storax. This was thought to protect the doctor from miasmatic bad air. The straw provided a filter for the "bad air". A wooden cane pointer was used to help examine the patient without having to touch them. It was also used as a means of repenting sins, as many believed that the plague was a punishment and would ask to be whipped to repent their sins.

Invented in Lyon in 1829 by the French printer Claude Genoux, a flong was a papier-mâché mould made with the aid of heat and pressure of a set forme of type. After placing it in a casting box, a thin replica of the original (metal) type (and illustrations) would be cast against it all in one piece. A limited number of duplicate casts could be made from one flong.[1] The back shaved stereo plate would be attached to a press cylinder or honeycomb base and allow the original undamaged type to be distributed or recycled. The stereotypes could be stored for repeat editions in much less space than standing forms.

Other perils from which the feline mayor has escaped include being shot by teenagers with BB guns, and falling into a restaurant's deep fryer (which was switched off and cool at the time). Recent exploits also included hitching a ride to the outskirts of Talkeetna on a garbage truck.[14]
