Like, what was the lowest "highest position"?

So far #13 for Maniac Mansion and Wolfenstein.

Ok, I'm going to complain about the rank of the original Legend of Zelda.

I limited myself to one vote per series and had to give it to Link to the Past but... yeah, seriously.

did any British games really work it over in the American market? i'm thinking Lemmings will be the highest ranking here

blueski, Sunday, 4 May 2008 18:39 (sixteen years ago) link

I have _no_ idea why Speedball wasn't big in the US... wasn't M.U.D.S. popular over there? Similar game, except more fantasy than sci-fi obv.

Dom Passantino, Sunday, 4 May 2008 18:41 (sixteen years ago) link

Cadaver was AWFUL

Gods I remember really fondly?

Most overrated game of the 90s? That screenshot says it all - four hideous deformed freaks in a completely undifferentiated space. My friend Matt and I played this a couple years ago, and every deathmatch ended with us running out of time before we even found each other to try and shoot it out. Like, "OK, I'm gonna stand still in this room. You come here and shoot me." "Fuck, how do I get over there?" This game sucks.

really all about getting 4-5 players in on it. completing the game in 1 player mode was great fun too tho - and the Amiga version played a really great italo-ish tune at the end over star warsy credits

No, you suck, GE is the bomb. Except for the caves.

I also did not see this poll, but I've never heard of any of these execrable pre-NES games.

Why did NES box art suck so bad?

Raw Patrick, Sunday, 4 May 2008 19:44 (sixteen years ago) link

It's like a GCSE art project.

No it isn't. How does that visually express "guilt"?

William Bloody Swygart, Sunday, 4 May 2008 19:47 (sixteen years ago) link

I thought it was 'serendipity' which is what I had to do at GCSE.
