charles nelson reilly was a voice in all dogs go to heaven, as was burt reynolds. this is amazing information to me, i had no idea.

BRAVE LITTLE TOASTER===fucking great. Singing junkyard=k-scary.
ALL DOGS scared shit out of me...'once you've gone, you can never come back. This movie gave me weird metaphysical ideas. Don Bluth's Mormon, too, I have no idea how he pulled this crazy canine cosmology out of his ass.

I held up okay through Milo & Otis, but Benji The Hunted fucked my shit up when Mama Cougar got shot.
Do fundies let their kids watch The Land Before Time?
― milo z, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 19:27 (sixteen years ago) link
I ALWAYS FUCKING THOUGHT THE LAND BEFORE TIME WAS THE STUPIDEST MOST AWFUL MOVIE EVER
but of course, i never fell for that dinosaur propaganda they shovel into little kids' mouths anyway.

Guys I saw Don Bluth's Titan AE in the movie theater as an adult.

Land Before Time pissed me off so bad because I was all "THOSE ARE NOT LONG NECKS THEY ARE APATOSAURUSESES GODDAMN YOU SPIELBERG"

― ghost rider, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 19:28 (sixteen years ago) link
he had all the fucking video sequels
Land Before Time made me cry so hard my parents took me out of the theatre and gave me Ny-Quil so I could sleep instead of my ridiculous sob fit epic.

in my elementary school we got the day off to watch ferngully and it was so shitty and boring that 3/4 of my grade went to try out for intramural basketball to escape
― A B C, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 19:30 (sixteen years ago) link
there's are at least two or three scenes in each land before time where the group gets separated from one another and there is two minutes of frantic shouting of "LITTLEFOOT?!" "DUCKIE?!" "CERA?!?" "SPIKE??!"
so of course we would basically always shout this, in my house, at each other. eventually we started adding "MULDER?! SCULLY??!"
― ghost rider, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 19:30 (sixteen years ago) link

the second?? third?? land before time has an AWESOME song in it tho. they've met a baby t-rex and he is their friend and they invite him to dinner (?!?) then they sing a v catchy number called "Friends for Dinner" which has a double meaning once Cera warns them that he is still a sharp-tooth and will surely eat them

ok for some reason this is making me recall that there is a live action anime series of little women. i'm pretty sure it is "true to the book" too unlike a certain katharine hepburn film version i saw when i was very little and the realization that beth dies really fucked with me.

also wtf japan, out of all the things you make television series about?
My friend Jason's mom went to the video store to get us a cartoon and returned with "Watership Down." We were eight.
This went v. poorly.
