i think there is so much bad, rock hard, off-tasting, cold melon served in sad-looking cellophane-wrapped fruit salad plates out in there in the world that make people think melon is bad. i have even been mistaken at times in my life

otm, good honeydew is great but like 85% of the honeydew i've had access to has been underripe and rock hard/tasteless

when i get rich and famous i'm sure i'll be invited to events with properly ripe melon spreads
