Only joking, it's still good. I guess what I found strange about the whole Oberyn thing is that I didn't really get that he was necessarily supposed to be a sympathetic character. At least when he was introduced, he came off as a bit of a sleazeball so I was surprised when immediately people started rooting for him.

And yeah, that was totally a Princess Bride tribute, wasn't it?

Maybe they feel like me that all those feel wish fulfilling happy stories need to be corrected? Maybe we'll get to see a Jennifer Connelly lookalike drown in shit; talking dogs, an old man and little boy fall off mountains and several other bleaker versions.

I doubt it will happen but there is still time for Oberyn's wife to run screaming to his side and revive him with the Lord Of Light.
Thinking about it more, with White Walkers, the whole Ice/Fire thing, maybe rebirth on either side will eventually become a bigger thing? Reborn Ned Stark fighting white walkers? Doubt it, but I'm sure the Lord Of Light stuff will become central because it has been proven real even if it isn't what the worshippers think it is.

I still predict that some of the Lannisters will eventually be killed by the Stark children. I think this story has wish fulfilment too. Imagine Tywin seeing Arya again.

Just wanna say this was the most well-shot episode I can remember. The lighting in particular was brilliant throughout.

Spoiler, perhaps, but yeah, he pukes in the book. The comic is very faithful to the book-version.

wise to leave that out of the show. i think if they had tyrion puke on screen some viewers may have literally thrown up as well.

i would prefer a "Stand By Me" stile vomiting dominoes effect – where Tyrion vomiting triggers Cerci to vomit onto Pycel, who vomits onto Tywin, who sneers - while the entire crowed vomits on one another in a horrible cascading tidal wave of puke, so astonishing we almost forget we just watched Oberyn get his head squashed like a grape.

Would have also liked for the unlucky stable-boy to have gotten half his head chopped off. Also from the comic and book.

I felt like there was a lot of mirroring of earlier scenes/dynamics going on:

obv. this tragic trail-by-combat mirrored the comic one with Bron

Sansa lying to save LF mirrors Shae lying to condemn Tyrion

Bolton's relationship with his bastard mirrors Ned's relationship with his

oh yeah, and once again Arya and the Hound showing up right around the time one of Arya's relatives in murdered--first tragic, then laffs

Forgot to talk about that, is Littlefinger and Sansa just about to bump into Arya and Hound? It would be nice to see the sisters together and I can imagine Arya causing Littlefinger trouble. Is that guard not likely to tell that the sister is there or is Littlefinger keeping Sansa a secret from his guards?
