Yeah I was there, stopped cheering after the 4th goal. I understand it's 7-1 and you are mad at your team but why would you leave 10 minutes before the end of the game?

Also, I'm so tired of the extremely loud dubstep playing all the time at the Bell Centre, I wonder how it is in other indoor arenas for other sport events.

Everyone who stayed gave a standing ovation for St Louis getting the first star, that was a very nice moment.

Van Horn Street, Saturday, 17 May 2014 20:40 (ten years ago) link

^I think I heard something vaguely dubsteppy at Rogers Arena once, but it's not common, I don't think.

Is it worse than listening to Chelsea Dagger all the time?

, Saturday, 17 May 2014 21:48 (ten years ago) link

nothing is worse than chelsea dagger srsly

6 points in 2 games by McDonagh, love this. Love this.

Van Horn Street, Tuesday, 20 May 2014 03:21 (ten years ago) link

whoa

mookieproof, Thursday, 22 May 2014 02:51 (ten years ago) link

yeah whoever wins the east has no chance against the Hawks and Kings.

Van Horn Street, Thursday, 22 May 2014 03:05 (ten years ago) link

In "nobody cares" news, team USA lost to CZE 4-3 and were eliminated from the world championships. Notable pussy Red Wings player Justin Abdelkader was ejected from the game and faces likely suspension for a headhunting hit on one of the Czech players.

Refs in this game are fuckin terrible

dan m, Friday, 23 May 2014 01:56 (ten years ago) link

what a painful goal

lettered and hapful (symsymsym), Friday, 23 May 2014 02:58 (ten years ago) link

Bleh, we were never going to sweep the series, I am not blaming him for the lost (nor the terrible refs) but I expect a better Lundqvist on Sunday.

Have there been a lot of goalie runs this year or is it me?

displeased by this turn of events

guess i have to root for the kings? ugh, mike richards. i don't like the dynastic implications of either western team, but better that than the rangers ffs

(i actively like henrik and marty and a.v. and don't particularly hate any other ranger -- although marc staal was pretty dirty last round -- but decades of loathing cannot be dissipated so easily, and also i live here)

seems like barry trotz was a nice signing for the caps but there's a team i will never not hate because its fans are the worst

mookieproof, Saturday, 31 May 2014 00:15 (ten years ago) link

displeased by this turn of events

trying to not get caught up in #hype of LA seeing as how they have won in my lifetime (!!!) but like come on guys this was almost easier when the team wasn't good.

Bringing the mosh (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Saturday, 31 May 2014 15:45 (ten years ago) link

my goodness

lettered and hapful (symsymsym), Monday, 2 June 2014 00:47 (ten years ago) link

Hawks are by far the better team tonight

Prince Kajuku (Bill Magill), Monday, 2 June 2014 02:08 (ten years ago) link

too bad the kings tied it up. go hawks!

reggie (qualmsley), Monday, 2 June 2014 02:34 (ten years ago) link

that tying goal was heads-up

Now I Am Become Dracula (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Monday, 2 June 2014 02:37 (ten years ago) link

that was the most anticlimatic goal since Kane goal in Philly in 2010.

Van Horn Street, Monday, 2 June 2014 03:12 (ten years ago) link

man it's quiet in that building

mookieproof, Monday, 2 June 2014 03:16 (ten years ago) link

Quick gives up a lot of goals. Can he top Lundqvist?

dan m, Monday, 2 June 2014 03:16 (ten years ago) link

lundq MVP probably no matter what happens

Bringing the mosh (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Monday, 2 June 2014 03:18 (ten years ago) link

marian gaborik is one of the better deadline pickups in recent history

mookieproof, Monday, 2 June 2014 03:34 (ten years ago) link

Kovalchuck to devs (lol); bishop to ning, maybe. i was cool on bishop last year but he seems to be better than I thought

Bringing the mosh (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Monday, 2 June 2014 03:40 (ten years ago) link

I can't see the rangers doing anything in this series.

lol girardi

mookieproof, Thursday, 5 June 2014 12:42 (ten years ago) link

jim rutherford is the new penguins gm

kinda feel like they let that pierre mcguire stuff float around just so whoever they hired would look reasonable in comparison

mookieproof, Friday, 6 June 2014 15:38 (ten years ago) link

also to troll legions of nbcsn watchers who thought, fleetingly, they'd be rid of mcguire forever

dan m, Friday, 6 June 2014 15:41 (ten years ago) link

McGuire would have been a trainwreck of Matt Millen-esque proportions.

Prince Kajuku (Bill Magill), Friday, 6 June 2014 19:45 (ten years ago) link

maybe he'd have hired barry melrose to coach

mookieproof, Friday, 6 June 2014 19:48 (ten years ago) link

What will happen first? A canadian stanley cup or McGuire becoming a GM?
