I would love to be able to look back through this thread, but Chrome thinks there's malware in it (from something called v1nt4g3v1v4nt). Is anyone else having this problem?

I need to see that again. Any movie that stays with me 30+ years later deserves a rescreen.

It's a crazy mix of TV-movie aesthetic and Dreyerish spirituality done in rural American vernacular. Also, Sam Shepard in mullet.

I saw it at MoMA for the second time ever yesterday, and I find some complaints about it silly. The plot and love triangle -- you might as well bitch about Star Wars; the aerial stunts are still incredible.
also, Chas "Buddy" Rogers, what a dish.
