I had my first ever ilx dream last night. it only partly counts as a dream because I was wearing a nicotine patch, which gives a person (or me, at least) totally fucked-up dreams. anyhow. pretty much all ilx worked in this big building that was like a warehouse with old wooden desks and very tall shelves partitioning off the various sections of the place - in the storage areas, we mainly dealt with the kind of thing you keep in "dry storage" in restaurants (croutons, bacon-flavored bits for salad, etc). It came to pass that Ally let me know she was leaving the job where we all worked. Everybody in the office knew she was going, but we were all sort of ignoring it/pretending it wasn't happening/pretending to be too busy to notice. There was the feeling, in the dream, that this was our general policy when dealing with people who are leaving. I was overcome with emotion and I felt like it was important for all of us to say goodbye when Ally left, which she was doing in the middle of the day. So as she made her way toward the door I found a place where everybody could hear me and I tried to call out "Ok, everybody, come and say goodbye to Ally," but I was choking up so badly & trying so hard not to let my voice break that the voice coming out of me 1) barely sounded like me at all and 2) wasn't nearly as loud as I'd usually get if I were trying to get everyone's attention. The thing that woke me up was that the "eeeee" sound in "Ally" got "stuck" on my tongue, so that what I actually said was "come and say goodbye to Allyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy," at which point I was so mega-creeped out that it jolted me awake.

it was actually kind of a creepy dream. the head chopping was really graphic. i remember it took like two or three chops, and the head was kinda dangling off, with all the blood and bone and stuff.

I had a flying dream involving Simon Reynolds recently. I was flying like Superman over these fields and SR was holding onto my hand. I kept flying low to the ground and then veering up again. So I flew low straight towards this timber fence and then just as I was about to collide into it I flew up. Then I looked behind me and SR had smashed into the fence and was knocked unconscious. The next thing I was being chased by an angry mob down some cobblestoned streets in a kinda Eastern European looking city.

I dreamed I was reading an interactive book, it was like the internet, but with pages to turn and a mouse/ bookmark thing. It looked like AOL Connie's dress and felt like a cinema screen, but pliable.
Jody Beth walked past and started telling me where some of the links went, nd then she pointed at one and said: "And that's where they tell you not to wear black to the Kentucky Derby. Yeah, like people listen." And went.

I recently had a dream where Trife was in a music video which involved him holding lots of different types of boxes. I can't remember what the tune was. Boxes? No idea.

In my dream last night, I was driving down a country road, ans spotted spotted someone sitting at a vanity that was in the grass. It was Spencer and some other guys in purple suits. He seemed embarrassed because I had now discovered that he was in a Joy Division cover band!!!

I dreamt this morning that eight, nubile, naked Aryan men were writhing in ,y bed, and then a man dressed in face paint to look like Optimus Prime crawled through the window and began shouting at them. Then, Sasha, the Toronto sex columnist, started playing a really dull bootleg compilation and everyone got bored and left.

I was on vacation and one of my right molars was falling out, my teeth were all screwy (fear of future) and it hurt and I was all freaked out about it and no one would help me. Except for Geeta! She was really sweet and made me feel a lot better. Also she had Julio's beard.

Last night, I dreamt I was walking home and got mugged by BabyBuddha (of I Love Film). When I explained who I was, he gave my wallet back. But he wouldn't return the money and I.D. he took, saying he "needed" the I.D. As were talking, though, a crowd gathered around and started to beat him up -- badly enough that he slumped to the curb. By the time the ambulance came, it was too late. The paramedics dumped his body in someone's bathtub. But when we checked on him a little while later, he was gone!

i had a dream that i was going to kiss a boy ILXor (i'm not saying who, because it was weird) (and no, it wasn't stevem) and when his face was coming towards mine it was all screwed up in a kind of 'pucker face' thing, but with his mouth open and his tongue was sticking out and moving back and forth like a windsheild wiper.

i can't remember if i actually kissed him, even with all the weird face stuff.

in one segment of a dream last night i was in a giant grocery store that i remember from childhood, buying the star and the national enquirer with gygax!. we got reprimanded by the staff because we sat down to read them in one of the checkout aisles.

I had a dream there was going to be some huge mega-FAP in Detroit because of some festival or such, and then I invited all of the ilxors to stay at my house. The rest of the dream I spent feeling panicked because I was trying to figure out I was going to fit all of those people in my house and worrying that it was going to get trashed. I felt stupid for inviting everybody before I had thought things through.

Last night I had a dream that I adopted a tiny hippo named Theo but he was very nasty to my cat Enzo (who is my real-life cat, btw) and threw him around the room. I was racing around an empty room trying to catch this hippo so I could return it. Bad dream

Not really a dream, but it came in that post-sleep hallucinatory haze: I woke up facing my girlfriend's back, and the folds in her red pajamas suddenly morphed into the shape of Sean Carruther's head. And then he winked at me.

my dream from saturday is sure to horrify ilx's famed twee populace.
basically i was alligator proofing kittens. it wasn't going well to say the least¡
i was dressing them up in little suits of armor with spikes + stuff, tossing them into the swamp, watching the gators eat them in one bite and then going back to the drawing board. this went on for quite sometime.
