It didn't taste like the regular Vietnamese (yes, I know they call it Cambodian) sandwich, and it was good.

Two star review posted a YEAR after dining at local soul food restaurant. Seriously, fuck you lady
Apologies on this late review...It's actually been awhile (like a year!) since we ate here.Hopefully, Broadway Soul Food has improved.Located in a not-so-good part of town with only street parking,my guy and I were the first customers on a weekday morningaround 11am. I don't know why we wanted Soul Food early in the day.His idea and I'm open to suggestions. After all Soul Food = Comfort Food.Right?Broadway Soul Food is kinda strange. It's an off-shoot of a politically/socially involved beautiful Black woman (sorry, I don't do the African American thang),who wanted to extend herself further. No fault with that... but.......this enterprise lacks. When my guy and I were there, the decor was confusing. On first impression, a charming small bistro with glass delicatessen counter, (and a huge open room behind) But the wall art was all on this woman's accomplishments and other strong Black women's goings-on.I am totally all for empowerment but not when I'm dining. Please separate business and politics from pleasure. The young man on hand was extremely charming, helpful, and personable. There was a lot of down time from placing our orders to receiving themand we conversed (I ask a lot of questions).I discover the owner of Broadway Soul Food also owns the bail bonds next door.Kinda strange, with so much activity, why invest in a restaurant, too? What my guy and I wanted on the menu was not available earlymorning. I settled for Smothered Steak and Macaroni, my guy Chicken,Black Eyed Peas, and Greens. The Black Eyed Peas tasted a little off,the rice and gravy accompanying my steak was the same, a little off.The Steak I was informed was actually cut from a roast and not a steak.Chewy, overcooked, generally disappointing. The Macaroni however was excellent... cheesy, thick, and delicious. The Greens were very good.But... this was over a year ago.I really hope Broadway Soul Food has improved.Too many irons in the fire does not make a good eating establishment.

no, all you can do is say if it's useful, funny, or cool. i don't know if you have to be a member to do that though, i've never actually tried because it's so useless, unfunny, and uncool that these people can say this shit without accountability.

Our waiter (who shall go nameless since he never gave it to us) was certainly knowledgeable but very aloof. And if I can't name my waiter after a 2.5 hr meal, that doesn't leave me with a great taste in my mouth.

There is no doubt after being there for my first time, that the bar is racist towards white people.

After reading all of the great reviews I decided to book an appointment. My previous hair stylist is currently out on maternity leave and my roots were getting pretty long. I didn't want to keep up with the highlights I had before so I asked for a solid color. I showed the stylist a picture of exactly what I wanted which was a lighter brown with a touch of red. I was going for an auburn. I ended up with red hair. I was clearly not happy with it and she half heartedly offered to throw some brown over it. I've never been the kind of girl to put up a fuss so I told her to just leave it.
She then spent the next 5 min trimming my hair. When she started to blow dry I realized she was kind of doing a lazy job. She ran a round brush through it and didn't even really turn the ends under/over. I even told her that the blow dry was my favorite part of getting my hair done because I am so helpless when it comes to drying my own hair. She didn't take the hint.
I admit its my own fault for not asking what the price would be when I booked the appointment, but had I known I would be charged $150 for a trim, single color with no highlights, and a blow job my 10 year old sister could do better I definitely would have had said something at the time. I ended up putting a couple of boxes hair color from target in to fix it.
I left the salon unhappy. It was extremely overpriced, the blow dry was bad, and the color was nowhere near what I asked for. I do not recommend.

honestly, any blow job at all is above and beyond what you can usually expect from a salon. what's that reviewer's problem?

Oh My God!Someone suggest to wife-san and I to go IHOP by person at city festivity this past weekend. IHOP more like i HOPE NOT!!! This not good... NOT GOOD EXPERIENCE!!! OMG! I patted down upon entry to this place!!! Boodah got police style pat down before seating here! BOODAH NOT PACK GUN!!! NO PATTING DOWN, PLEASE!!! Now wife-san say I pack gun, just no pat necessary. It look like typical IHOP... just unsavory characters come in and out . Too loud talking going on, can't concentrate! Needless to say, wife-san and I must leave before ordering. So bad, so much bad experience. If I recommend pancake house to go to, THIS NOT IT! Sorry... NO! NOT SORRY!!!... this not good choice for pancake experience. Rule of thumb: If pat down require to enter... leave. I not know if 1 star deserving of the IHOP on the Jefferson.
