I had some great sex in January as well (first time in ages), but it was a short-lived affair, and it has made me depressed for not getting it anymore... I think I was happier before, not remembering how good sex can be.

I don't know. I think the only thing the sex in January really did was make me realise how *not ready* I was to be in a relationship again.

(Not putting down either the sex or the partner, both of which were actually terrific, just saying, oh dear, ooh er, TMI and I'll be in trouble again for writing this...)

alcohol actually makes me last a lot LONGER. sometimes to the point of not being able to come. Depends how drunk. Can always keep it up, but can't always come. very strange.

Obviously, alcohol makes it easier to get sex (if your potential sex partners drink too), but it doesn't generally make sex better. That said, if you're with a (relatively) new partner, a moderate amount of alcohol can help you get over the nervousness and clumsiness one often feels in those situations, so that it doesn't stop you from enjoying the sex. With guys, the ultimate result of that nervousness is of course failure to have an erection, but I think ladies can experience related problems too (not getting wet enough, etc). Of course, once you get older and have more sex experience, it'll make you more comfortable with your own body and more in touch what the other person might want and like you to do, so the nervousness also eases.

Here's a related thread I started a while ago:

How do non-drinkers get laid?

Well, I know that at least some girls can't come if they're feeling nervous. Though this can be a problem to guys too.

I read this thread title as "does hip-hop really help your sex life" somehow.

Is it better to have casual sex with or without telling her that's all you want from her?

"It provokes the desire but it takes away the performance. Therefore much drink may be said to be an equivocator with lechery: it makes him and it mars him; it sets him on and it takes him off." - Macbeth, Act II, scene 3

Sigh no more, ladies, sigh nor more;
Men were deceivers ever;
One foot in sea and one on shore,
To one thing constant never;
Then sigh not so,
But let them go,
And be you blithe and bonny;
Converting all your sounds of woe
Into: Hey nonny, nonny.
