omg i really need to write this movie now

river wolf, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:16 (seventeen years ago) link

the entire opening sequence in which the rock beats up an entire football team with turntables while that missy elliot remix is playing is basically the best thing ever filmed, at least in terms of things that also star the rock.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:16 (seventeen years ago) link

Guys, listen to this on headphones.

Also Ally OTM re: The Takedown

HI DERE, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:16 (seventeen years ago) link

KANTLIPS, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:17 (seventeen years ago) link

my favorite graffiti is "Eric Clapton Is The Sun" on the side of a pizza parlor in Columbia MO

Mr. Que, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:17 (seventeen years ago) link

walking tall was not as good of a the rock movie as the takedown. this is despite the presence of johnny knoxville.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:17 (seventeen years ago) link

My God, what have I wrought?

HI DERE, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:18 (seventeen years ago) link

after his son fell out the window it was changed to

Eric Clapton's son is dead

Mr. Que, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:18 (seventeen years ago) link

river wolf, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:18 (seventeen years ago) link

river wolf, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:18 (seventeen years ago) link

yeah it is pretty mean but that song is awful?

Mr. Que, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:19 (seventeen years ago) link

My favorite mean-spirited joke is about Eric Clapton's son.

John Justen, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:20 (seventeen years ago) link

Q: What's the first thing that Eric Clapton did after writing "Tears From Heaven"?

A: Threw his son out the window.

John Justen, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:20 (seventeen years ago) link

ice cold

river wolf, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:21 (seventeen years ago) link

johnny knoxville was also in the movie the dukes of hazzard, which was regrettably awful but nearly redeemed by a very lengthy car chase sequence in which johnny knoxville threw molotov cocktails at police cars while willie nelson made very, very off-color bordering-on (read: actually were) misogynistic jokes. if that scene and the turntable fight from the takedown were in the same movie, i would only watch that movie, for the rest of time.

the end.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:21 (seventeen years ago) link

YES

milo z, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:24 (seventeen years ago) link

Mr. Que 8080

HI DERE, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:25 (seventeen years ago) link

xp - only 5% of that opinion is based on Elisha Cuthbert having a great ass. You also get Piven, the last great Will Ferrell role, "earmuffs" and Snoop Dogg.

milo z, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:25 (seventeen years ago) link

guys stop encouraging people to form bands called "Dogtits" for fuck's sake

horseshoe, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:26 (seventeen years ago) link

you say "you also get piven" as if that's like a bonus to clamor for.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:26 (seventeen years ago) link

No. Old School is awful, really really awful.

Laurel, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:26 (seventeen years ago) link

we were in some random bar sometime and they were showing old school? i had no idea any of those people were even IN old school. i mean, luke wilson?

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:27 (seventeen years ago) link

I have always assumed it was awful. I have an aversion to Tom Green.

horseshoe, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:27 (seventeen years ago) link

I hate Will Farrel and all his movies on this earth.

Laurel, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:27 (seventeen years ago) link

to be fair, Luke Wilson will be/has been in basically anything.

xpost oh Laurel, you hurt me in my heart

horseshoe, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:28 (seventeen years ago) link

Tom Green = Road Trip (also awesome)
Old School = Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, the Piv, Will Ferrell

milo z, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:28 (seventeen years ago) link

guh fucking hotlinking protection

Catsupppppppppppppp dude ‫茄蕃‪, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:28 (seventeen years ago) link

"buddy the elf, what's your favorite color?!"

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:28 (seventeen years ago) link

In other news, Beef and I drew a picture of Italy for Philippe. The little guy wouldn't believe it actually looked like a boot until we proved it for him. Beef wanted to show how Chile looks like South America's large intestine, but Philippe didn't know what intestines were, and we had dinner reservations.

This is what I imagine living with the Lex to be like.

Ed, Tuesday, 17 April 2007 21:29 (seventeen years ago) link

omg guys this whole time I've been talking about Old School thinking it's road trip, wtf is wrong with me. I've seen part of Old School, but it was kind of boring?
