Me, jjjusten, ahoyhoy, aerosmith driving from Minnesota to Pittsburgh to shoot a film version of Where The Wild Things are in one weekend. We got off the interstate in Ohio in some suburban town where everybody was getting in fights and yelling at each other. We roll into this strip mall where there's a beauty parlor so jjjusten can buy curlers. Everybody gets excited once we get out of the car because we discovered that we can turn into cartoons and race around the parking-lot. ahoyhoy turns into yoshi from mario brothers. Then there are two bad guys on motorcycles. ahoyhoy really wants to race them, but then these ufos come down.

also, a couple nights ago, there was a dream where homosexual ii worked at my office. she was dressed like mayim bialik from blossom. There was some crazy stuff that happened like a wild shootout and a pitbull and a house sliding backwards into a ravine, but I waited kinda long to get this one down, so I forgot most of it.

i was sunbathing on a tiny island (no more than a hump rising out of a tropical ocean) and trayce was on a deckchair on another island and my island starting disintegrating in the waves and hers didn't and she just lolled.

I was standing in my back garden with frogbs, who was waving around a rifle and saying how much he liked to shoot things. Just then a small red and white biplane flew overhead, piloted by a Chinese woman. frogbs shot at the plane, breaking off the propeller. The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing on my street.

I dreamt that I was in a car in NYC with some other people one of whom may or may not have been RS, I cna't be sure. We passed by a park with pillars on top of which 4 people were seated. Max and his girlfriend were 2 of those 4. I said, "Hey! It's Max!" and then made a mental note of where we'd seen them and then made a mental note of where we were (W Side Hgwy) so that I could post to the spot a random ILXor thread. Too much time etc. :/

a few nights back i had a dream where me and ned were trying to outrun the police in a depression-era jalopy because we were paper moon-esque bible salesmen scam artists. ned had a handlebar mustache even though his hair was still long. i wore a derby hat and kept berating him. the only line i remember was "we wouldn't be in this mess if you could just keep it in your pants!"

kenny rogers's "the gambler" was the soundtrack. so i woke up confused as to whether the dream was "real" or i was dreaming about a movie ned and i had starred in.

Three years ago Shakey Mo Collier started a thread about Shoney's, the restaurant. There were only two posts, both by Shakey, then nothing for several years. I revived it. There was a crappy, MS Paint-y picture of Arkansas onto which I wrote "ONLY 2 LEFT *FROWNY FACE*." Which is true irl. One's in Harrison, the other in West Memphis. Breakfast Bar!

I'm still waiting for white castle in AR somewhere other than west Memphis. WMWC.

I was in a motorik alt-country band with pplains. We went to go see Casablanca in Chicago with sunny successor and the Reverend. It was actually a Looney Tunes version of Phantom of the Opera. On the way out in the parking garage, I tried to make a joke "I hope we don't get Batmanned", incorrectly thinking that Bruce Wayne's parents were murdered after watching Casablanca*. We drove across town to what was supposed to be a nice restaurant. When we get there, the whole place is orange and they serve only yams. Sunny says "no one's going to want to eat orange food off of orange plates in an orange restaurant!"

dreamt that ilx user jbr and i were on jeopardy, except it was more like $25,000 pyramid because we had to elicit the correct answers from each other with clues. one of the answers questions was neatsfoot oil, which baseball players use to break in new gloves. i don't think we got that one. the final jeopardy answer was the song "the rat" by the walkmen. we won $45,000.

dreamed that Eric H and Dr Morbs were teaching me about horror movies. we were sitting on swings in a playground and feeding sparrows

I had a dream that me and gr8080 planned to go jetskiing, but we were hanging out in a dark bar in jet ski clothes instead, and he had an animal fetus in a jar and was being really creepy about it.

At one point he did this comically exaggerated heavy breathing and said, "I'M CREEPY."

Not much of a dream, really, but anyways: I was overlooking an ILM compilation album w/recordings from various ILXors. Plain white cardboard jacket, user names just typewritten on top. The only "actual" names I remember seeing were Gear and gr8080, the rest were imaginary names like "123GO!123" and "userfish". I'd apparently recorded my own contribution to the album but called myself "fearofmusic" for some reason.

I had a dream Stevie D opened a little outdoor kiosk that sold small pieces of pre-wrapped fancy cheese and alcoholic drinks. It was maybe the size of a rotating comic book rack with a little bar. I showed up and he was super happy to see me, and handed me a big glass of rosé that had price tags floating in it. Stevie was very congenial and chatty with everyone, spending lots of time with each customer. I listened in on the other people at the kiosk – two female friends of his saying it was going to be a horrible failure because no one like cheese that's been sitting out in the sun. A guy came up to order a margarita: "I really liked the drink you made me last time, Steve, but it took two hours." Stevie took out a bottle of sand art, like you make at a carnival, and poured half a bottle of tequila into it. He told me later running the kiosk and dying his hair red were both punishments meted out to him for trying to steal the sun.

I bet a cheese and booze kiosk would go down well at a railway station. Set up a worldwide franchise. The logo could be a Starbucks stylised sun face.

Oh. My God.

elmo argonaut owned and operated some pizza place that I think I may have worked at and he decided to open up a salon next door on 31st St called "31st Salon" (instead of 31st St Salon, idk why) and he wanted me to singlehandedly operate and close on Wed nights even though I have no experience whatsoever with hair cutting/coloring, so he made me a chart on a piece of black poster board telling how to mix the colors and apply them. And then he just left and someone wanted their hair trimmed and dyed white and I just fumbled around looking for the dye and things until I woke up.

was at a Bowie in-store appearance in what hadda be the late '70s, cept I had a copy of Squeezing Out Sparks for him to sign. Emblematically, was trying to get out of there before my turn came.

I had a dream last night that I was watching some kind of jazz/blues band playing in the courtyard of I dunno, a college or mall or somewhere. I walked up to check them out and Crut was playing saxaphone, and did this mad-ass really complex solo that would have been impossible to do in one breath, just managed to finish the last note, gave the audience the middle finger with a free hand and then fell over from lack of breath.

The audience was all "wooooyeahhh!" at this display. LOL wtf.

Had a dream the other night that gr80 was drawing circles on my back, then a friend of my husband came up and gave me a big comedic kiss, then my first boyfriend came up and told me he'd never gotten over me. I wish I was as hot as dream Lex!

Ran into ZS while mountain biking in some Washington-area park. He told me that he had run into some girl he used to know in high school the night before and they had had "t-shirt fun" in his tent. We were jumping off of huge rocks and doing tricks that were more like flatland freestyle than mtn biking. Eventually we got to this huge open rocky area, at the end of which the government was arresting some al-Qaeda for terrorism. Then we raced back along the trail so we wouldn't be late for work.

I had a dream a few nights ago that I met Dog Latin outside his house and he told me that he was moving to Germany. The house in question was a large multi-storey grey stone building like the ones that are common in Bristol.

I also had a dream where I had to go to a meeting and demo the software I sell (always odd when work intervenes in dreams). I checked out the biography of the person I was meeting and I found out that he had worked with my Dad at the hospital where he was an administrator. The guy was called Conway and there actually was a guy called Conway that my Dad worked with in the seventies whom he used to come home and complain about. In the meeting I mentioned to Conway the fact that he had worked with my Dad and asked if he remembered him and he said "Oh yes, portly fellow as I recall" (which he was). "I seem to remember he was quite disapproving of Kidd's interviewing technique". (Kidd was the name of my Dad's boss). Conway then went on to ask "You aren't expecting the fact I worked with your father to influence the outcome of this meeting are you?" and I said no.

It is very rare for my dreams to have dialogue in them as complex as this and to have such odd references to real life. I wonder whethe the fact I was on holiday in the Tatra mountains and was feeling pretty hyped up after some vigorous hill walking had any effect on the nature of the dream.
