now that was a proper episode.

The idea of someone taking the ankle clips was pretty bogus though. And how did they get back to their proper place (assuming they did) if the bike didn't get back? Who the hell wears ankle clips in the first place?
― we gotta move these refrigerators (CaptainLorax), Tuesday, 17 April 2012 13:08 (twelve years ago) link
Well, when you take ALL of someone's clothing, I guess the ankle clips would go too.

What's wrong with Matthew Perry? He sounds terrible.
― trishyb, Tuesday, 17 April 2012 16:36 (twelve years ago) link
i can see how it's a matthew perry role but i want matthew perry out of my good wife

he is the worst
― mizzell, Tuesday, 17 April 2012 16:41 (twelve years ago) link
he's not even remotely good at being a slimy terrible person.
― mizzell, Tuesday, 17 April 2012 16:42 (twelve years ago) link
being totally insufferable is like the point of that character though.
― s.clover, Tuesday, 17 April 2012 17:01 (twelve years ago) link
he's not even insufferable, he's just a bunch of bleh, adding nothing
― mizzell, Tuesday, 17 April 2012 17:10 (twelve years ago) link
i thought it was great, i just want to punch him in the face while running away cringing
― j., Tuesday, 17 April 2012 17:17 (twelve years ago) link
Yeah, I really liked the complete barefacedness of his lying. He's not as good a sleaze as Jackie, though.

I meant before the murder. What kind of person "borrows" a bike and leg cuff clips
― we gotta move these refrigerators (CaptainLorax), Tuesday, 17 April 2012 18:08 (twelve years ago) link
I didn't follow the case at all, waaay more interested in the campaign and Jackie subplots this week.
DNC dbag crushing Parker Posey's dreams has me considering voting for Ron Paul now.

that episode was pretty bad, but PREZ!
i don't know why the writing was so dumb and obvious. like when alicia turned to kalinda and was like. "lana's going to get you killed!" thanks for spelling that out, show.

Yeah, this wasn't great. Also, it's already Season Finale Time? WTF. I guess so, but it doesn't seem like it.
― Johnny Fever, Monday, 23 April 2012 15:37 (twelve years ago) link
This season is 22 eps, whereas the first two were 23.
― Pot Leeedom (Leee), Sunday, 29 April 2012 22:11 (twelve years ago) link
Lots of twists! None of them terribly good. Sorta dud for a season finale imo, but at least it's already been renewed iirc so that's a good thing.
― Johnny Fever, Monday, 30 April 2012 03:50 (twelve years ago) link
There was nothing really cliffhanger-ish about the episode, just lots of threads left hanging. Felt more like the episode before a finale.

Am I in need of some mansplanation on how professional women are capable of solidarity regardless of relatedness, or was Amanda Peet's character obviously the Colonel's daughter?

If that was the case, it passed me by. I thought it was just female solidarity because it's tough to be a woman in the military.

i forgot alicia even had kids

― j., Tuesday, 20 November 2012 01:03 (eleven years ago) link
haha yes i was seriously lolling at that. but the "they like how it feels to heal" line was pretty good. liked eli's manipulations too. seriously don't understand kalinda at all at this point.
― s.clover, Tuesday, 20 November 2012 01:06 (eleven years ago) link
she's in THRALL
and boooooring
the main plot was kind of truncated. i suppose that was just setup for something else later in the season, either an unexpected fail/win on the murder case, or something to do with judge hirsch?
― j., Tuesday, 20 November 2012 04:35 (eleven years ago) link
I thought the case was essentially resolved (as a fail) with the adultery twist. I'd imagine the tension with judges is the sort of thing they'll pursue though. I like internal firm intrigue, but will v. the entire justice system really bores me.
― s.clover, Tuesday, 20 November 2012 04:40 (eleven years ago) link
Felt like they're going to resume the case next week or soon, while also involving some romantic intrigue between Amanda Peet and Peter, or at least more allegations of impropriety. We could call them Peeter!
