Justyn Dillingham, are you black? You were black in my dream last night. You were also with two other male ILXors, but I can't remember who they were. Both were white with short dark hair. Very mysterious. We were just chatting, so nothing interesting, but it's just come to me now. Weird.

well mine is a Rainy dream frm a few nights ago

I make up a song for and about Rainy and sing it to her. It begins with something like "Rainy rides a reindeer" and I'm very pleased with what I think is my cleverness at putting Rainy and Reindeer together. She works at a sawmill (the one I lived on the same road as - ranzau - when I was a kid), for which she is widely admired as it's a tough job and she also still makes music and art. Later her, Maryann, me, and some other young women (who I don't know) have commandeered a huge tank-like ship. We're being chased but for some reason we're in high spirits and make a snap decision to steer for Africa, where we'll live wonderful lives as outlaws.

I had a dream the other night that Ally C and RJG had their own TV show where they just sat around pontificating about stuff. The edition I was watching had the pinefox as a special guest and they were just sitting around their flat drinking beer and talking about Lloyd Cole, but IT WAS ON TV.

Someone should make this happen in real life.

I dreamed that I was in a house on the beach with my mom and Chris Barrus. Waves were crashing like it was a tsunami, water rushing two feet high and coming into the side door, which for some reason was open. The pull back (or whatever it is called when the water runs back before the next wave) was *worse* than the incoming waves, and felt like it was going to pull the house in. It didn't but it seemed sure that the next one would. That's all I remember.

I've just noticed that "recently on ILX Dreams" makes it sound like "ILX Dreams" is the name of a soap opera and this is like the first 30-seconds where they catch you up on what happened yesterday.

Oh I had a dream last night where I was walking down a dark alley and there was a creepy door and I opened the door and there was a poorly lit concrete-block room with apocalypse-stylee detritus and ruin aplenty and there was an ominous figure sitting in a big E-Z-Boy chair like my grandpa might sit in, and the ominous figure came over and sat crosslegged on the ground right in front of me and pulled back the hood of its black cloak and it turned out to be a beautiful girl with dark hair and suddenly the creepy nightmare vibe disappeared from my dream and she kissed me.

Wow, that has nothing to do with ILX does it?

two weeks pass...

I had a pretty strange dream last night...

A group of ILXORs and I were walking along the road I used to take to and from my junior school. Mark S, Julio and Tom were there. We were playing with these things that looked like Rubik's Cubes, but they had buttons that you pressed to play musical notes...we were all playing these beep beep tunes, they were pretty good. As we turned the corner into the road I used to live in Starry and Alang came skipping up the road also playing their musical Rubik's Cubes, and singing "Germany Germany"...

Then I woke up to the sound of the telephone ringing next door, it was 4:58am.

I am going to patent the Music Cube!

I've had a couple of dumb ones, one where I was reading the Wire and the main feature was Mark S reavaluating MC Hammer as a "credible and important rapper", and one where I was the camera in a documentary about Jody's brave (actually she yelled at the Doctor a lot, it was funny) battle w/some form of "back cancer". Apologies if either of you'd prefer I didn't dream about you, it seems a bit rude.

this has nothing to do w/ ILX, but I had a tres bizarre dream last night. I was picked, strangely, to appear in a commercial for I think some kind of clothing retailer, e.g. Banana Republic. But the commercial either required or transmuted into performing in a play with 28 acts that began during some sort of Sherwood Forest time and continued into the rough present. We started performing almost immediately, and unlike everyone else I didn't understand that you were supposed to know your part and lines right away and just jump into things. I guessed wrongly that I was supposed to be doing some sort of synchronized modern dance/ballet stuff at the beginning. Then I figured out that I played some sort of General who didn't appear until Act 27, and I didn't have many lines so I was busy trying to figure out what emphasis to give them and what model there should be for the role - George C. Scott? Huh?

I had some weird ass dreams last night. The one I liked best was that I found a section at an exhibtion that had pets for you to take home. I found the cutest little kittie, but I couldn't find a telephone to get j to come down & check the kittie out.

I just dreamed that Ally wrote a book -- and not a short one -- about her obsession with pop music, and the thing was bleeding brilliant. It was recommended to me by a guy in the library, and it was huge and dusty and cloth-bound, and it was... holy shit, it was by Ally!

I had a dream last night that I was record shopping with Tom, Felicity and Spencer Chow! I bought Journey's greatest hits which in my dream had the best cover ever, and also a Peter Gabriel CD and somehow these two purchases came to about $200.
