It's enough that I had to sit front row and strain my eyes to read the board in class the couple weeks I was without glasses. I feel blind as shit without em.

i strongly sympathize with JF re: vision without glasses/contacts. colours and shapes all the way! you get pretty good at blurry-recognition of objects, though. (at least when you manage to lose your glasses and contacts for the last half of a family vacation.

I don't look at these threads enough. Matching names with faces is kind of mental... particularly ENBB and the Rev who I'd have never thought looked like they do for some reason.

Was asked by a co-worker today if I was taking hair-growth tablets. I don't know if that was meant to be a compliment or a slight.

It's the season for accelerated hair growth. I've trimmed mine twice in as many weeks and it still looks all over the place.

I might just leave it. Hoping to look like some sort of wookie-lion by September.

don't think I've had a haircut since august. not a recommended beauty tip btw.

There's a totally decent video up on my facecase! It's hard to dance in grass, and that was long grass, too, but we acquitted ourselves reasonably well, I think.

Laurel your dancing pics make me want to go to a Ren Faire even though I know that your dancing probably doesn't have anything to do with those but still. That's what they makes me want to do and that's a good thing.

I love the positions of our feet in that shot!! Ian there is such a smooth and practiced country dancer, his feet go exactly where they should, and I just got lucky and happened to plant that right foot correctly. Result: our geometry is perfectly matched.

Yeah, me too. They're hysterical. The only one I've ever been to was the one in Tuxedo NY but it was p awesome.

The Sands Point, LI one in October is pret good and moderately historically accurate for a certain time and place. The organizer is a total card with a lifetime career as a social worker and a lifetime skill set that includes amazing feats of handsewing entire medieval costumes, learning to swordfight just for the hell of it, and being generally off-color and hilarious all the time. I adore her. Also there will be corsets and bodices galore.
