Dreamed last night that I smoked celery in a dorm room with 2 ILXors (one of whom I've met irl) and Miley Cyrus. I was like, "wtf, celery?" but they explained that it's just as strong as weed if you do it right. You put it in a glass Coke bottle with some fire inside and suck the smoke out through a straw.

Not feeling very rested this morning.

Like my previous ILX dream, this one featured Shakey Mo; but whereas we were co-workers at an ILX magazine in that one, this recent one featured us meeting for the first time. Seems we lived in the same building and crossed paths while taking out the trash. He greatly resembled a South Asian version of Roger Kaputnik (Dave Berg's "The Lighter Side Of..." guy) with the similar horn-rimmed glasses, and somehow I recognized him. (He looked nothing like he did in the earlier dream.) Shook his hand ("I've wanted to meet you for a long time!") and suggested a future FAP. He agreed, then dug through his pockets and handed me three pennies, explaining that I could extrapolate his phone number from the coins' dates. I tried for awhile with no success, until I realized that the coins in fact revealed, not his phone number, but his date of birth. I interpreted that as his passive-aggressive way of snubbing me, and decided "The hell with him," then went out shopping to quickly buy some ammonia before the stores could close at 6 pm. Never found the ammonia but managed to buy a perfectly square picture frame from a junk shop at the last possible moment. Then I woke up.

Pashmina and I were sharing a squat somewhere in South London (Thamesmead or thereabouts). Ned Raggett turned up and Pashmina was showing him a guitar he'd found, which to me looked like one of those shitty wee toy ones that break in ten minutes, and Ned asked if he could "mess around with it for a bit". He started strumming some rubbish but the next thing we knew it was two hours later and he'd put us to sleep by playing a perfect rendition of 'Cavatina' and had disappeared while we slept. I said to Pash "I thought he was just messing around" and Pash said "That *is* messing around when you're Ned Raggett!"

I had a dream I was hanging out drinking beers with Dr. Morbius and giving him dating advice. Obviously wish fulfillment on so many levels.

dreamt that i was reading an article in the washington post about innovative teaching techniques at local high schools. local student Cur+1s S+3ph3ns was quoted a number of times as approving of the new curriculum.

there were a *lot* of typos and minor errors in the story, which i found infuriating, in the dream. at least once the young student's name was printed as Crutis.

ilx team entered into an international five a side, ismael klata, uptoeleven and local garda all involved with yours truly leading the line. Bizarrely, the tune is the space was giving the teamtalk.

Get in! How did we do? Nice to see Great Britain & Ireland back in the mix anyway.

I had to go back to school because my old diploma expired, and i was trying to find out whether i had passed an exam, but i didn't remember what my student number was, or where exactly the classroom was where the scores were posted. And there were tons of people that i had to navigate around, some of whom i kinda knew but not enough to really socialize with. And then I saw Stevie D, who was a new freshman at school, and he said Hi and gave me a hug. But I didn't want to take up too much of his time because he was with three other boys that looked like "his type" and were waiting for him to finish telling a funny story.

Dreamed that White Chocolate Cheesecake, two IRL friends, and I were suddenly transported to Victorian-era English countryside, complete with wicked, WICKED dresses and then we drove around in an orange VW bug, wearing our awesome dresses and having adventures and my old beloved and dearly missed family dog, Sam, who died in 1997 was there, too. It was an all around awesome dream.

I was at a board meeting with Hoos. He was thoughtful and resolved many issues.

Oh, apart from the VW bug, which died in 1989, so perhaps it was a dream full of long-dead pets.

i dreamed Johnny Fever was getting married at midnight on NYE and it was also his birthday-- his wife wasn't someone from real life nor an ilxor but she was v v pretty. i gave them each a lei; it was a fun party.

Started a band with ENBB. It was us and two round, trolly teenage boys. Everybody moved into a bedroom at my parents' house. We didn't make any music in the dream, but someone had a copy of Siouxsie and the Banshees Tinderbox and just in case there was a demand for an acoustic cover of "I Kill Everything I Fuck" was playing in the background at one point.

Later on in the dream, jjjusten and I got called up to active duty in the army because we had accidentally enlisted when we entered a sweepstakes for a free guitar. There was a going-away party that was cool at first because everybody gave us LOTS of chocolates. JJJ's had his real name on them, but mine had my new army nickname on them: "Pvt. Pooper".

The dream got real intense when someone gave me my baby to hold one last time before I went to Iraq and I woke up crying.

Note that the "bedroom at my parents house" has music-making associations for me because the first time they left me in charge of the house while they went away, I let a local hardcore band come in and record their demo in the master bedroom.

I had a work dream last night that Tuomas showed up in. He was trying to explain some spreadsheets to me that were printed out. Later, when I was showing them to my boss, a Polaroid he'd put in them fell out into plain view. It was a goatse-esque picture of a man bending over with a pool ball in his anus. :[

I'm fairly confident that I've never seen a distended anus in my dream, but now I'm already approaching tonight's beddyboo snuggytime like a countdown to terror.

It was sort of awul but that was mostly just trying to explain it to my boss.

Night before last -- I was the property manager of a seaside place where Ned and his girlfriend were gurus/cult leaders. I wasn't under their spell, just there to look after the place. The situation lent itself to me having a bit of sex with some of Ned's followers.

gr8080 was giving me a ride to madison, wisconsin. we pulled over at a gas station, i stayed in the car at first but i could see gr8080 directing the cars by the gas pumps, making sure they were all in order. then i went inside the gas station and was looking around while gr8080 was in the bathroom. it was a weird gas station, i couldn't find candy but they had fresh-baked bread and used books. the owner was talking to me and when i found out i was with gr8080 he was like "that crazy kid!" in an admiring way. i guess he appreciated his gas pump organizing.

Among other things, I dreamt I worked with DJP and that he got up and sang a very powerful song called 'Steam Rooms' in tribute to our boss's birthday.

I was having a vacation in London with Emil.y and Some Dude. We were hanging in our hotel room and I was all excited about going shopping, while Emil.y and Some Dude were lazily hanging on the sofa and watching the telly. I tried to get them excited too, and I was like "Some Dude, you like neo soul, right? We can go to a record store that sells neo soul! And Emily, you like psychedelic rock, we can go to a store that sells psychedelic rock! And I like underground dance music, we can go to a record store with that too!". And they were like, yeah yeah, we'll go to record stores soon, but they didn't sound excited at all, they just kept watching the TV with bored eyes. The TV was showing an Arnold Schwarzenegger action comedy, and he was saying something silly in English with his Austrian accent, and I was like, why do you want to watch this when we could go out? But they kept watching it, and all of sudden I noticed that Arnold was now speaking in German. It was the dubbed German version of the movie, the channel had changed to RTL, and I realized we weren't in London but in Berlin. And Emil.y and Some Dude weren't lying on a sofa anymore, but on a pile of 7" vinyl singles, but they still looked as inexcited as before. And I asked them, can we go shopping after the movie is over, and Some Dude answered with a bored, monotone voice, "Oh yeah.". That's when I woke up.
