I'm in the dark, I'd like to read his mind

She's standing over his bed after breaking into his apartment. She's holding a butcher knife in one hand, and the dude's diary in the other. She forgot to bring a flashlight. The dude is sleeping.

slow day

TOMBOT, Friday, 13 April 2007 19:03 (seventeen years ago) link

but I'm frightened of the things I might find

she's tried to hack into his email account, and has guess all sorts of stuff: "banana," "pencil," "kittenbukkake": none of them work. So she decided to read his diary to see what's really up with the dude. he's a quiet sort of dude, which causes the more paranoid parts of her brain to wander away from herself. . .

Mr. Que, Friday, 13 April 2007 19:04 (seventeen years ago) link

Lonely fear lights up the sky
Can't help but wonder why
You're so far away

There, you had to take a stand
In someone else's land
Life can be so strange

I wish we never had to choose
To either win or lose
That we could find a way (We could find a way)

But I won't turn my back again
Your honour I'll defend
So hurry home, and 'til then (til then)

Chorus:
Stand tall, stand proud!
Voices that care are crying out loud
And when you close your eyes tonight
Feel in your heart how our love burns bright (hurry home… ooh)

I'm not here to justify the cause
Or to count up all the loss
That's all been done before

I just can't let you feel alone
When there's so much love at home
We're sending out to you

All the courage that you've known
The bravery you've shown
Clearly lights the way

We pray to make the future bright
To make the wrong things right

Right or wrong, we're all praying you remain strong
That's why we're all here and singing along

-Repeat Chorus-

You are the voice
You are the light

-Repeat Chorus

also, the cafeteria closed early for "customer service training" today so i didn't get any coffee. you know what would have been GREAT customer service? NOT TAKING AWAY THE GODDAMN COFFEE AT 12:45.

chicago kevin, Friday, 13 April 2007 19:51 (seventeen years ago) link

Can I go home plz

Ned Raggett, Friday, 13 April 2007 19:53 (seventeen years ago) link

There is no reason for work now. It is Friday afternoon.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 13 April 2007 19:54 (seventeen years ago) link

word in the cosmic uhh

TOMBOT, Friday, 13 April 2007 19:55 (seventeen years ago) link

why the fuck do we work so early? is there ANYONE you know who wouldn't want to start work at like 10 or 10:30 or whatever? why are we still clinging to the antequated tradition of waking up early to go to work?

chicago kevin, Friday, 13 April 2007 19:55 (seventeen years ago) link

In my case the building has to open early so I have to be here early and etc. FDafgads;ghga

Ned Raggett, Friday, 13 April 2007 19:56 (seventeen years ago) link

I got to work at 10 today. I suggest you find a job in the comforting, though low-paying, world of academia.

dan m, Friday, 13 April 2007 19:57 (seventeen years ago) link

This is PRECISELY the job I have, I should note.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 13 April 2007 19:58 (seventeen years ago) link

The support staff on campus would question this. And rightfully so.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 13 April 2007 20:05 (seventeen years ago) link

I slept last night and I'm fading fast.

Laurel, Friday, 13 April 2007 20:06 (seventeen years ago) link

my body is doing really weird things right now.

chicago kevin, Friday, 13 April 2007 20:06 (seventeen years ago) link

I get out of bed at 8:15 and am at work by 9:30. Of course, I'd almost always rather sleep in another hour, but it's not too bad.

jaymc, Friday, 13 April 2007 20:09 (seventeen years ago) link

xpost tourette's?

kenan, Friday, 13 April 2007 20:09 (seventeen years ago) link

it's just weird.

chicago kevin, Friday, 13 April 2007 20:10 (seventeen years ago) link

if i didn't have to be at work at nine, it would only encourage me to stay up later, so it wouldn't really affect my mood or energy level one way or the other. Plus, I like going home at 5-6 o'clock.
