dreamt i met us steal at a passion pit show.

I was chillin' in the front seat of an early 90s toyota corolla with my friend Todd, the Prince of Fruit. We were parked in downtown D.C., but it looked like some British high street. I was eating apple scrapings out of some brass device. We had just finished this huge epic adventure and were talkin' about this girl Tara who wouldn't give us the time of day. All of the sudden Todd says "Oh shit, here comes the Prince of Pipes!" The Prince of Pipes sauntered over to our car, exchanged some pleasantries and hopped in the back seat, where there was this Vox amplifier. The Prince of Pipes was ZS!

Oh yeah, he smelled like a dirty pipe.

hahahahaha

I do live in DC, too! But I am no longer not the Prince of Pipes, sadly.

I had a dream that I drove to California and hung out with Justin3 and ytth! They asked what I wanted to do and I told them "ice skating." They said it was too hot for ice in California, but they did have a "California ice capades arena" where you could go indoors and pretend you were ice skating. The ice capades arena had rainbow banners & ribbons hanging fron the walls and ceiling, and those little hangy crystals people put in their cars to make rainbows appear everywhere. They were playing The Free Design and the Fifth Dimension. We all roller skated around in circles together on a concrete floor, and laughed and had a good time.

It wasn't until I went to type this up just now that I remembered roller skating rinks are a real thing.

It made me want to hang out with Justin3 and ytth for real. We had the best dream fun!

Also I can't rollers skate at all IRl so that was very thrilling!

I had a dream that I was tutoring a class of ilxors on the writing of some really bad Dave Eggers-type writer named Ezra.

so Abbott was coming to visit me and she got here and she was CUH RAZY and she also had this v strange accent. And anyway we met up in some sort of store (for some reason), but then she kept running away to other stores! At one point I went to look for her at a pet store, but as I was walking in all the other employees were walking out in a single-file line and told me they were closed. No Abbott was to be found :(

Well first plax(ico) and I were getting all bundled up bcz it was really cold outside and we were going hunting with this huge group of people, and one of them was this rapper who was p famous or something. So anyway he decides to perform for us before we all go out (in this really boring looking room w/ a dropped ceiling and fluorescent lights and folding chairs), and at one point he mentions he's v excited coz his mom is here today, and we turn around and she's in the back of the room smiling and waving. And he's very sincerely going on about how grateful he for is mother and that she's here, and then she starts tearing up and crying and shaking her head and is all "No, no, I can't do this"

So later everyone leaves to go hunting but plax and I stay back and hang out w/ our famous rapper buddy, and we asked him "What was up with your mom earlier?" and he just started laughing and was like "Oh, that was just some dude I paid to dress up like my mom"

Then later, I was in some weird place where there was this crazy psychotic bitch who had powers to do whatever she wanted (like, control your mind and use ESP to throw things at you and shit), and the only way to 'defeat' her was to realize how lame and stupid she was instead of being scared of her. So anyway, I'm totally over her from the get-go and she's just being an annoying pest, but then del shows up, and he doesn't know the secret yet! So here I am just kickin it w/ my bro and she fucking makes him FALL IN LOVE W/ HER and it is so goddamn annoying. She also keeps throwing really large objects at me, which is also annoying. Finally somehow I manage to wrench him free, and there's a door that leads from her crazy world back into the real world, but he is still smitten w/ her and (earnestly) writes lyrics from some Train song on the door for her before we leave.

has a dream i was talking to the tune is space and then slowly as he was talking i realized he was call all destroyer and it was really embarrassing that i had made that mistake. it was an easy mistake to make bc call all destroyer looked nothing like he does irl and had the tune is space's haircut/style.

HAD

I dreamt last night that my wife had a bunch of ilxors over for a dinner party. When everyone arrived you were dressed head to toe in female muslim clothing. I remember thinking "wow, I didn't really picture any of them like that".

Was hanging out with tune is the space in Asheville and he tricked this teenage girl into believing that he was a member of the Smashing Pumpkins.

had a dream where i was walking up a steepish driveway with iiiijjjj. His wife came out of the house to greet us. His wife and I said 'Hey!!!!' at the same time and as we approached her I said in an overly excited way (referring to iiiijjjj and myself) "Look! Now you can see for yourself. We're not the same person!!!!'

I think the other night I dreamt I went on my US trip and was hanging out with Johnny Fever playing records.

Ran into underrated aerosmith at a Jurassic Park-type complex somewhere in the American south (the atmosphere was less primordial jungle and more country club). Anyway, he had decided to visit because he needed a break from the rap game and he needed a break from raising his three teenage kids!

dreamt about hanging in a bar with ppl talking about the t-shirts they had as children. ilx user max ruefully told us that his dad was a huge chicago bears fan and had forced him to wear a bears super bowl vii shirt when he was little.

i was like, wait ilx user max, you aren't that old. he said, yeah, my dad bought a bunch at the time (1973) to save for his future children. also the bears lost to the dolphins anyway, which made it extra embarrassing.

(notes: i have met max once or twice. from what i know of him, it seems pretty unlikely that his dad would be a bears fan. the bears actually went 4-9-1 that year and did not appear in super bowl vii -- the dolphins beat the redskins to complete a perfect 17-0 season.)

Dreamt that a large number of ILXors came to my parent's house uninvited on Christmas Day. There was no food, booze, games, party hats, or anything. The atmosphere was like the reception after a funeral. Highlights:

• homosexual II wondering out loud if we should all call each other by our real names or our ILX names.
• my father starting an argument with roxymusak for no reason, because IRL he's an unpleasant anti-social mean spirited tosser.

suzy, me, and two friends from high school were escaping down a river by raft, where we had confronted an evil, tornado-causing djinn. when we stopped to change drivers, one of my friends, who works for a defense contractor, was like "I shouldn't tell you this, but C4lum R0bert W@ddell is trying to extort $100,000 from the United States government." Then suzy was like "Oh daaaahhrrrling, for C4lum, trying to extort $100,000 is like stealing 50 jewels in Zelda!"

I was in a sci-fi conference with Abbott and Tracer Hand. Next to me sat the sci-fi author Octavia Butler and his 10-year old son [I have no idea what Octavia Butler looked like in real life, except that she was African-American, or if she had a son]. Abbott was chatting with the kid, who had round "professor" type of glasses and a charming smile. A lecture started, it was on the subject of "Classification of sci-fi works based on the level of idealism in them". The kid, who was apparently was some kind of a prodigy, kept making really smart but kinda pompous remarks about idealism in sci-fi, and about the classification system the lecturer presented. The classification was a sliding scale that went something like this:

Utopian sci-fi

Idealistic sci-fi

Realistic sci-fi

Pessimistic sci-fi

Dystopian sci-fi

Really dystopian sci-fi

Awful, depressing, dog-shit kind of stuff

An excerpt was read from a book that belonged to the last (i.e. the most cynical) category. It was about a guy who lived in a world where everything was literally against him. That's all I can remember.

harbl explained why she changed her name -- her parents had named her Elisabeth Stetsy, so that people would call her Betsy Stetsy and laugh.

Oh I had a dream that I hung out with Caek and he recommended some movie about a bridge and then a friend and I went to see it.

Exciting, I know.
