I'm always suspicious of such language but wtf? When you see a huge crowd of people in the street, you don't decide to get all self-righteous and drive over them, ffs. Make a u-turn and leave. Last night on Haight (before the cops had shut the street down, ppl were actually helping drivers turn around safely to leave.

Had dinner at We B Sushi on Valencia from 9-10pm and the entire time outside was solid noise, horns, people playing musical instruments out of their windows, etc. Stopped by 22nd and Mission around 10pm last night and the mood was amazing, the streets were shoulder-to-shoulder for a block in either direction. At that point it would have been completely impossible for a car to get through.

I would probably not bring little kids to a place like Camino but that's just me. My little kid brain wanted to go somewhere like Fenton's.

yeah, that's why i asked about the wait - Fenton's would definitely appeal to the kids, but the lines there on a Friday night are really long.

Me and my brother are driving - several other family members will already be in Oakland and will (presumably) also be driving.

Huh, a thought I had when walking the hills of SF was "It's a good thing this city doesn't get ice." Good luck not sliding into an intersection, guys!

just wanna give 2 restaurant recommendations. last night went out w/the inlaws to a filipino restaurant in San Bruno (why are they all there?) called Intramuros. definitely the best flip food i've ever had.

and tonight went to Tyler Florence's Wayfare Tavern. i read a pretty shitty review of it, but talked to shasta, who's friend was friends w/him and defended it, so wasn't sure what to expect. it was AMAZING. sat at the bar because we were last minute. the poutine was seriously to die for. truffles (shaved and oil), fries, some sort of melted cheese and short ribs. four of my favorite things in the world combined. i shouldn't have ordered anything else, but i got the burger. one of the best in the city. seriously. i couldn't finish it though. pretty stoked on this place.

also, ryan mcginley has a show at Ratio 3 in the inner mission that's pretty cool if you're into his stuff
