nothing bad happened to me in the Mission last night, for what it's worth. I didn't see any rioting, or any cops, or any criminals (actually the streets were pretty empty - and I was out and about at 10pm). there was a lot of honking and yelling though.

Didn't see any violence but I saw much craziness last night in the Lower Haight. Haight between Fillmore and Steiner was essentially shut down for more than an hour.

Noticed that The Paramount got graffiti bombed in a major way when I went passed by this morning.

it's just kinda unsettling, esp. in light of the Chron/sfgate coverage that glosses over the fucked up behavior that if the context were about something other than sports, it would have been reported differently.

It's funny to see $5 and Red Devil Lounge mentioned in the same sentence as that's usually the stage to countless $20 coverbands. Good for them for stealing talent away from Kimo's and the Hemlock.
