Hi Dan!

Where are you again, Nicole, that you have access to the glory of Tim's?

Michigan. In fact, the Tim's that I go to is directly across the street from my apartnment, so I'm lucky to have a cappucino dealer so close by. What would I do without my fix?

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:21 (twenty-one years ago) link

I ran out of Tim's coffee about three weeks ago--I had a giant amount sent to me. It was wonderful, delicious, and so satisfying to drink it out of my Tim's mug. Man, I sound like a commercial.

What I wouldn't give for a dutchie right now.

cybele, Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:23 (twenty-one years ago) link

Pass the dutchie ...

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:30 (twenty-one years ago) link

You have seen the Tim Horton's in far away places commercials their running right? Foreign students, sailors and such.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:34 (twenty-one years ago) link

http://www.timhortons.com/english/content_2211.html#True

Tim Hortons coffee is more than just coffee - it's a part of people's lives and lifestyles. This is the basis for the popular "True Stories" series of TV commercials, which began airing in English Canada in 1997.

The series began with the story of Lilian, a lovely older lady who would walk quite a distance to get her Tim Hortons coffee. Over the years, viewers have enjoyed the true stories of Sammi, the loveable Golden Retriever; Natalie McMaster, a Canadian fiddling sensation; cowboys from Western Canada; Shorty Jenkins, the ice maker; surfers from Atlantic Canada and train engineers who couldn’t resist making an “unscheduled stop”. In the fifth "True Stories" commercial, Tim Hortons responds to the pleas of sailors in the Canadian navy, stationed in Kuwait, who miss home and the taste of Tim Hortons coffee. And most recently, viewers met David Mole, a Canadian student studying abroad at the University of Glasgow in Scotland.

Hooray for Nicole! All that rimming was bound to pay off eventually.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:49 (twenty-one years ago) link

PERVERT! SICK! WRONG! Well done. This will get us both finally condemned to Asshatry, yes?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 16:50 (twenty-one years ago) link

One can only hope.

WELL GOOD GOD DAMN. I redeemed my free coffee and rolled up the rim on it, and I got ANOTHER FREE COFFEE. This is my day!

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 19:24 (twenty-one years ago) link

Someone has a horseshoe up his ass today!

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 19:42 (twenty-one years ago) link

So that's what felt so uncomfortable!

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 19:44 (twenty-one years ago) link

And yet you were still able to say "WELL GOOD GOD DAMN...This is my day!"

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 19:47 (twenty-one years ago) link

i just won R2000!! in a logo design competition!

mitch lastnamewithheld (mitchlnw), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 21:27 (twenty-one years ago) link

Did you have to roll up to anyone's rim to claim the prize?

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 21:29 (twenty-one years ago) link

I finally won a donut the other day. But I bet I'll lose it before I get to claim my free apple fritter. Mmmm fritter...

Kim (Kim), Thursday, 27 March 2003 00:00 (twenty-one years ago) link

Keep it behind your ear like a carpenter's pencil.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 27 March 2003 02:41 (twenty-one years ago) link

I wonder if there's a contest where you win donut bitch.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 27 March 2003 02:47 (twenty-one years ago) link

Oooh, can we warp this thread into a conversation about honey glazed asses, like happened in the Shania thread?

Kim (Kim), Thursday, 27 March 2003 02:55 (twenty-one years ago) link

I think I did enough damage to this thread up above. When you freak Dang out, you know you've gone too far.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 27 March 2003 03:08 (twenty-one years ago) link

Dude, I'm sensing something very Canadian about this thread

gabbneb (gabbneb), Thursday, 27 March 2003 04:34 (twenty-one years ago) link

surely you mean "aboot this thread"

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Thursday, 27 March 2003 04:35 (twenty-one years ago) link

Mmmm fritter...

Apple fritters are indeed the Bomb! Maybe seonc donly to double choclate.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 27 March 2003 06:55 (twenty-one years ago) link

where is the cruller love??!?

Dave M. (rotten03), Thursday, 27 March 2003 07:21 (twenty-one years ago) link

With all the other brouhaha, I forgot to mention that I had a threepeat: I won two coffees in a row, followed by a donut, all on the same $1.50.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 27 March 2003 19:12 (twenty-one years ago) link

Once again: BASTARD!!!

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 27 March 2003 19:15 (twenty-one years ago) link

I keep fantasizing that I will win money, or even that stupid mountain bike with the Tim Horton's logo.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 27 March 2003 19:16 (twenty-one years ago) link

My cruller love went away the day the orange crueller stop getting sold in stores.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 27 March 2003 20:19 (twenty-one years ago) link

Cruklers, (and I really mean crullers, but that's such a fantastic typo that I'm gonna leave it) they rock my honey glazed ass too.

I won a coffee today. Go me!

Kim (Kim), Friday, 28 March 2003 00:46 (twenty-one years ago) link

Hurray for Kim and her winning ways.
Back to mopping I go.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Friday, 28 March 2003 01:28 (twenty-one years ago) link

Free donut. First win of the season. I'm on the scoreboard.

mark p (Mark P), Friday, 28 March 2003 04:18 (twenty-one years ago) link

I won another donut today. Obviously I drink far too much coffee.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Friday, 28 March 2003 04:24 (twenty-one years ago) link

Ha. Figures. It's been a dry couple of days, even though I've been rolling up the rim furiously.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 1 April 2003 00:43 (twenty-one years ago) link

A little joy jelly will fix that.

Bryan (Bryan), Tuesday, 1 April 2003 00:50 (twenty-one years ago) link

Those rims are pretty tight, they certainly could use some lube getting the prize exposed.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 1 April 2003 00:51 (twenty-one years ago) link

I'm starting to imagine Sean living in a kind of Requiem for a Dreamesque nightmare, except with a Tim Horton's addiction.

Nicole (Nicole), Tuesday, 1 April 2003 00:53 (twenty-one years ago) link

The Kronos Quartet scoring his every move...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 1 April 2003 00:54 (twenty-one years ago) link

Yep, that sounds pretty much like my day to day life!

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 1 April 2003 00:58 (twenty-one years ago) link

I've been calling Sean Tappy Tibbins for years.

Bryan (Bryan), Tuesday, 1 April 2003 00:59 (twenty-one years ago) link

The worst part about the whole thing is that every time I get on the subway I have to pay five fares! And that's difficult to do with both hands full o' Tim's coffee!

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 1 April 2003 01:00 (twenty-one years ago) link

Soon, his summer season is upon him, where he gathers the 500,000 for the franchaise fee only to see it crumble away when he finds out 200G must be in liquid assets or somethign wacky like that.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 1 April 2003 01:07 (twenty-one years ago) link

Mmmm, liquid asshats

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 1 April 2003 01:19 (twenty-one years ago) link

They're much better then solid cockfarmers.
