recently on ILX Dreams...

I had my first dream of ilxors last night. Mark C, river wolf, grady & Ed were wandering about at some sort of convention. I said "Hey, aren't you...?". I was excited at seeing ilxors in 'real life' but they were all cool and nonchalant as though they hang out in other people's dreams all the time.

it involved a member of the Gyllenhaal family.

yes, Mark C, river wolf , grady and Ed are the dream ILX stray cats. Whenever they appear loitering in my dreams I chase them away with brooms.

I woke myself up at 1am this morning yelling out, "Just chill DeNiro, it's only licorice!".

This is fucked up, but anyway. I was living in an ornate Italian garden with Drew Daniel. It was very formal with a lot of marble statues and we shared an underground appartment, which was actually quite nice when you were in it and had massive dome skylights, but you had to get in through a potting shed. The light was always very bright and it was baking hot. We got a couple of tourists, but no one really came around much. Drew was in charge of the upkeep of the gardens and I was staying there as a part of some kind of rehab. One day I met my boyfriend (it was my IRL boyfriend, but in the dream I'd never met him before) and we started seeing each other. I got pregnant. Drew was wildly disaproving and stopped speaking to me. Then Martin Schmidt turned up and they were whispering with Martin breaking out into "you have to TELL HER!" Drew took me to one side and explained that my boyfriend was actually my long-lost brother and the child would be deformed. At that point I freaked out and woke up.

NB: That day I had been reading some columns written by Drew for the website I work for. There are no other explanations for this terrifyng mental chain of events.

Don't remember much. Just recall sat on some grass saying "that Ned Raggett, he's a clever fellow"

I had a dream a couple of weeks ago that was something about the End of the World. Ned Raggett showed up in it. He was going to save us all by COOKING.

ned is popular. when i first started posting here, i had a dream that he was my new flatmate. he looked like axl rose.

jaymc, whom I've never met, showed up at a party in one of my dreams this morning. He was looking for Trayce, but I hadn't seen her.

He must have left his .xls at home.

As I woke up, I realized he'd found the party b/c he had my address in the .xls.

HAHAHA!

So last night in my dream I was listening to some npr-style talk radio show, and the sage voice was talking admirably of Matt DC (whom he referred to as 'Mr DC'), and how he had stood up on ILX that day about some pressing issue (I, of course, do not remember the issue at hand; it was probably about someone being an asshole). So, having missed this, I duly went to the thread in question, and clicked on the 'Today' button (in my dream, long threads had a 'today' button at the top of the page, that, when clicked, would immediately scroll you down to the first new answer entered that day). There, someone had bombed the thread with an endless number of horizontal lines. Then it was tons of images. Then lots of random imdb biographies. But then, I got to Matt DC's post, and he was, indeed, quite sensible about whatever it is he was talking about.

I dreamt last night that Matthew Perpetua told me he was "sort of seeing" Inka Essenhigh.

So last night the company CEO sent an email to all employees regarding inappropriate internet usage during business hours and cited examples. I was busted for spending too much time on Facebook and Luna and Carsmile Steve were done for putting up awesome pics on WDYLL threads.

So in the dream I was a mixtape DJ.

The local alt weekly said that my tapes were "innovative, and driving the local hip-hop scene in a more creative direction."

Then someone on ILX called me BIG HOOS aka the scenedriver.

True story.

Whoa, I was watching the news and it turned out Kathleen Turner was linked to 9/11. They showed this diagram with a photo of Osama Bin Laden----a photo of Mohammed Atta----a photo of Kathleen turner.

The weirdest thing is that I don't even think Kathleen Turner has crossed my mind in the last five years or more.

I finally has an ILX dream!

I dreamt that some distant cousins of mine were weird cultish Mountain Gotes groupies. I met them at a family reunion and I was fascinated. They were kind of surprised that I had no knowledge of the MG's (which I don't, IRL). I told them that JD was on a 'message board' that I frequented; they were non-plussed. I asked what the most popular/recognizable MG song was and they said 'Tiny Bubbles' and I was like "Oh yeah I know that song!" I think this means JD is going to die soon.

Don't say shit like that. Even in jest.

Last night I dreamt that Pete and I busted a UK-wide paedophile ring and became national heroes. We were on the front page of all the papers.

Bizarrely enough, I dreamed last night that I bought a Fender Jazzmaster guitar off Trayce. I had to fly all the way to Australia to pick it up, but it was a good deal.

haha on the eve's eve's eve of my massive french roadtrip i dreamt that as i was walking into the shop to pay for the petrol i just filled my car with, someone drove off in the car :(

there was a disco in the shop tho! but it was only for little kids and their parents :( :(

i was offered a bit of key wisdon by a young korean backpacker with artfully gelled hair, but i can't now remember it :( :( :(

So, the England football team's assistant manager has been murdered, and "Steady" Michael Jones, PI, is on the case. I am his loyal and eager sidekick. Michael believes Sven Goran Ericsson is the perp, but can't prove it on current evidence. And what's the link to the CEO of Britain's biggest producer of male grooming equipment? Luckily, when interviewing a female long distance runner in an industrial complex, I notice that the male grooming corporation has its head offices in the very place the body was found! The female runner then heads off for a lap of the complex, leaving us to ruminate on the discovery.

I keep having steamy dreams about Tombot. Is this inappropriate to mention? In fact it's always former professors, male ILXors, or Roger Ebert lately.

I think the Viceroy should challenge TomBot to a duel. Winner gets to keep the AbBot.

Is it:
a. Tombot has noticed my semi-frequent airing of distaste for beards and is attempting to repel me
OR
b. Tombot does not know my opinion on beards and thinks the unshavenness is all *rrowrr* for the subconscious of yrs truly?

In this lies my confusion.

wtf...last night Pleasant Plains, Tombot and I sat around an old 50's-style formica table drinking beers and talking about poker and our various minor ailments. In my dream I was thinking it was sort of in character for me but weird for them, esp. talking about bunions and rheumatiz and such.

I had a dream that aliens left these disc things on the ground all over earth that looked like giant refresher sweets. People started picking them up and eating them like cakes, then they'd fall into a reverie where whatever fantasy or dream they'd always secretly had, they'd live it out in their heads, thinking they were living a perfect life. All the while everybody else is having to look after all these victims because they just lie around drooling, locked into their imaginary world.

Then one guy finds out what is happening, that the whole thing is an evil Triffids type plot to conquer the earth. So he leads humanity in a victory against the aliens, finds an antidote for the coma-fantasy drug discs and returns everything back to normal... Then you find out that was just his fantasy and he'd eaten one of the drug discs himself!

Pretty cheesy, but I was quite impressed that I basically got to watch an entire TV-show in my dreams with a plot, characters and a suprise ending.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers meets Brain Candy. well done.

Both those films are ace. So subconsiously I just wanted to see both of them at the same time.

teh last one (and only one i think) was with jon asking me for drugs. alas i didn't have any. :-(

A couple of weeks ago I had a dream where Caledonia and John Justen were buying a house. This made total sense, since they were looking at houses. The part that did NOT make sense: their plan to become pig farmers. There was even a baby pig in the dream.

I had a dream I went to sunny successor and PP's house and had to go on a long, winding path up a mountain. sunny led me up, cradling beeps and wearing a tattered fur coat like margot tenenbaum.
