oh man ally was it you i was talking to when i was trying to remember the difference between life with louie and bobby's world? having done some preliminary research, the difference appears to be that louie was fat.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:14 (seventeen years ago) link

elmo argonaut, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:19 (seventeen years ago) link

Pastagina is the fusion between something old and something new. This is the new Pasta Era, you always can come to us to taste the Old Italian Flavor but don’t worry about your time, now with the Fusion with the Technology you don’t have to worry about the Time...

HI DERE, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:21 (seventeen years ago) link

"We Will Rock You" is blaring out of the marketing director's office. Preparing for a big sales force conference.

Next, I predict, "Eye of the Tiger."

Fluffy Bear Hearts Rainbows, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:36 (seventeen years ago) link

i predicted fat bottomed girls

ghost rider, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:43 (seventeen years ago) link

Patrick Bateman: Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke.

daria-g, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:45 (seventeen years ago) link

i would like it better if he played beyond the sea

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:48 (seventeen years ago) link

Fluffy Bear Hearts Rainbows, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:49 (seventeen years ago) link

strippers, obv.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:55 (seventeen years ago) link

Fluffy Bear Hearts Rainbows, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:59 (seventeen years ago) link

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:05 (seventeen years ago) link

The same thing just happened to me, but I was at a bar and drunk and they were playing Steve Miller songs.

John Justen, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:05 (seventeen years ago) link

jesus fucking christ this effing problem set

river wolf, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:44 (seventeen years ago) link

i wouldn't feel so bad about consecutive 13 hour days if i had a couple of high lifes here with me. what would they hurt? i have spell check on this fucking thing.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:47 (seventeen years ago) link

they would hurt nothing, kevin. if there's one thing i learned at my old job it's that i was BETTER at it when i was a little drunk (which happened exactly once when i had beers with lunch)

river wolf, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:49 (seventeen years ago) link

yeah, i miss the public sector. ;_;

more to the point, i miss being the boss.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:51 (seventeen years ago) link

i remember going to the loan closing with US Bank and having them get kind of weirded out when our balance sheet showed we had over $30,000 listed under "booze". in hindsight jeremy probably should have named that something else. "entertainment" or "refreshments" or whatever.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:53 (seventeen years ago) link

hahaha

river wolf, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:56 (seventeen years ago) link

I'd love a beer right now, but I'm totally not better at this job when I'm drunk. I tried it last week, after several cups of wine at a co-worker's going-away to-do, and all I can say is that detail-oriented work and giddy drunkenness do not mix.

jaymc, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:59 (seventeen years ago) link

crap what am i thinking?? dice-k is tomorrow. :/

"karaoke wedding" was a sham, there wasn't any karaoke in it at all!!

Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 23:08 (seventeen years ago) link

dear turbotax,

oh my fucking god any particular reason why you put me into an endless loop of confirming my bank account during the closing "send my return" process just now?

sincerely and go fuck yourself,
ally

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 10 April 2007 23:15 (seventeen years ago) link

hey, don't badmouth turbotax. without them i wouldn't have been able to live beyond my means for a week in new york. my kidneys and liver may learn to hate it but don't you say anything bad.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 23:19 (seventeen years ago) link

uh dear district of columbia,

i was just told i was not legally entitled to file electronically due to some weird bullshit nonsense law you have made up. so, i did not do so. please to give me address this is supposed to go to instead of informing me that i should not mail something already filed?!?! what in the holy fuck. it wasn't filed, it says so on my internet computer screen. help?

again, turbotax, go fuck yourself,
ally

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 10 April 2007 23:21 (seventeen years ago) link

i can do my taxes myself on paper, i'm just being really lazy. and getting completely screwed over and frustrated because of it.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 10 April 2007 23:21 (seventeen years ago) link

fuck this, i'm not making any sense anymore, i'm going home.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 23:25 (seventeen years ago) link

dear beer,

thanks for helping me out you are a true friend - i was totally all "oh god where do i eat where do i eat i need to eat cuz i haven't eaten since yesterday but food seems disgusting right now" for like AN HOUR AND A HALF as i drove and walked around silver spring then wheaton then DC and then i eventually decided i didn't want any food at all, just some of you, although i know that isn't healthy. so now that i've had some of you i totally want PIZZA and that's what i'm going to order and then eat. thank you for your practical and useful functionality.

love,

ZR

no seriously turbotax can go fuck itself, I just got stuck in another completely different loop of doom and am having to file ALL THREE returns by mail. I look forward to receiving my refunds from VA and the Treasury sometime in late June.
