i mean i'm assuming your mom didn't go there because she was thoroughly convinced louie anderson would give her a message from her dead relatives that she had been waiting for.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:14 (seventeen years ago) link

elmo argonaut, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:19 (seventeen years ago) link

Pastagina is the fusion between something old and something new. This is the new Pasta Era, you always can come to us to taste the Old Italian Flavor but don’t worry about your time, now with the Fusion with the Technology you don’t have to worry about the Time...

HI DERE, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:21 (seventeen years ago) link

Mr. Que, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:28 (seventeen years ago) link

"We Will Rock You" is blaring out of the marketing director's office. Preparing for a big sales force conference.

Next, I predict, "Eye of the Tiger."

Fluffy Bear Hearts Rainbows, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:36 (seventeen years ago) link

i predicted fat bottomed girls

ghost rider, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:43 (seventeen years ago) link

Patrick Bateman: Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke.

daria-g, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:45 (seventeen years ago) link

i would like it better if he played beyond the sea

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:48 (seventeen years ago) link

"Pretty Woman". WTF is going on at this sales conference?

Fluffy Bear Hearts Rainbows, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:49 (seventeen years ago) link

strippers, obv.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:55 (seventeen years ago) link

Next: "Y'all ready for this" by 2 Unlimited.

Fluffy Bear Hearts Rainbows, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 21:59 (seventeen years ago) link

ok i wish i went to THOSE sales meetings

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:05 (seventeen years ago) link

The same thing just happened to me, but I was at a bar and drunk and they were playing Steve Miller songs.

John Justen, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:05 (seventeen years ago) link

jesus fucking christ this effing problem set

river wolf, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:44 (seventeen years ago) link

i wouldn't feel so bad about consecutive 13 hour days if i had a couple of high lifes here with me. what would they hurt? i have spell check on this fucking thing.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:47 (seventeen years ago) link

they would hurt nothing, kevin. if there's one thing i learned at my old job it's that i was BETTER at it when i was a little drunk (which happened exactly once when i had beers with lunch)

river wolf, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:49 (seventeen years ago) link

yeah, i miss the public sector. ;_;

more to the point, i miss being the boss.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:51 (seventeen years ago) link

i remember going to the loan closing with US Bank and having them get kind of weirded out when our balance sheet showed we had over $30,000 listed under "booze". in hindsight jeremy probably should have named that something else. "entertainment" or "refreshments" or whatever.

chicago kevin, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:53 (seventeen years ago) link

hahaha

river wolf, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:56 (seventeen years ago) link

I'd love a beer right now, but I'm totally not better at this job when I'm drunk. I tried it last week, after several cups of wine at a co-worker's going-away to-do, and all I can say is that detail-oriented work and giddy drunkenness do not mix.
