'Coffee, tea or me?' is a popular mug-esque slogan, or was in the 1980s.
However, I'm not sure that justifies the existence of above object.

er...make that the 1960s. It was a book about stewardesses.

Skottie, Friday, 21 May 2004 13:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh the book was then? My dad didn't acquire his hideous brown mug until the 80s. Never an early adopter though...

OH, yeah! I've seen that in a used book store.

My cats will drink cold chamomille.

Michael White (Hereward), Friday, 21 May 2004 14:35 (twenty-two years ago)

My cats HATE peppermint tea. They wrinkle their noses and jump away from it.

You can always tell if Tad's revived a particular thread by its title.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 28 February 2005 19:35 (twenty-one years ago)

So what's with the cats today, Tad?

REVIVE!!! Although my cat died quite some time ago, I'm sorry to say...

my two posts on this thread are my shining moment on ILM bar none

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Friday, 8 September 2006 21:47 (nineteen years ago)

What did you used to be called then? This is my favourite thread that I started. I often like to think that I've grown up since then...

Ricky Willmsenman (gatinhathree), Friday, 8 September 2006 21:49 (nineteen years ago)

Oh right, 'chamomeow' is really quite (fucking) stunning.

I thought about reviving this yesterday when I noticed the kitten upside down and drooling under a chair, and then saw that she had somehow gotten the box of valerian tea out of the cabinet and torn into it. Since then she has been waiting for another opportunity to attack the cabinet and binge again.

Jordan, Monday, 10 March 2008 15:36 (eighteen years ago)

I used to live with two cats who would MANGLE the paper wrappers from peppermint tea bags. They would basically roll on them and push their shoulders into them to try to get as much of the scent on them as possible, presumably. Craziness.

Laurel, Monday, 10 March 2008 15:53 (eighteen years ago)

Oh, is it because peppermint is related to catnip?

roxymuzak, Monday, 10 March 2008 15:54 (eighteen years ago)

I'm not sure, but catnip is some kind of mint, I think.

roxymuzak, Monday, 10 March 2008 15:54 (eighteen years ago)

Ceiling cat is watching tea cat drink yr tea!

Masonic Boom, Monday, 10 March 2008 15:55 (eighteen years ago)

Think so, rox. Yeah, catnip is a mint, albeit not one that smells minty to humanz.

Laurel, Monday, 10 March 2008 15:59 (eighteen years ago)

Ceiling cat makes me lol.

roxymuzak, Monday, 10 March 2008 16:06 (eighteen years ago)

Six years on I have come to terms with my twee-ness but have never seen a cat drink any tea, ever.

rainy, Saturday, 6 June 2009 00:55 (seventeen years ago)

this is the quintessential ILX thread to me. I think about this thread title at least twice a week.

Every morning I get my mug of coffee, sit down on the couch, and put my mug on the floor, the easiest place to access it from the couch. And every morning, my cat comes over, smells the coffee, then tries to bury it (in our hardwood floors). Every morning.
