Last night I dreamt that Ed was removing shop fittings from a closed-down Warp Records shop. Then I went to see The Futureheads with Lex. Get out of my dreams you lot. (And before anyone comes back with the obvious joke, i do not drive and have no car.)

So apparently my subconscious is on a roll with the ILXness cos the other night I dreamt that Carly and I were tired from walking around town and she was feeling bloo so we ducked into a nearby cafe to rest & cheer up. Unfortunately, in a twist from the "why'd the NYC diner kick us out for ordering fries?" thread, it was NO CAFE but in fact Anthony Bourdain's new (imaginary) restaurant and we couldn't stay unless we ordered serious food. Fortunately there was a prix fixe menu with an Argentine-themed option for $30 a head; meal consisted of a cut of beef and a cottage loaf of homemade bread. No veg, apparently!

At some point the Nick Lowe song "So It Goes" was played in the restaurant (which was empty but for us) and AB was favorably impressed that both Carly and I sang along -- so he sent a bottle of champagne to our table, and it tasted like strawberries. That's all I remember.

I had this bizarre dream last night that the guys in my band were going on about maria tessa sciarrino -- saying how pretty she is and stuff. One f them said she had a "kind mouth" or somesuch. I was like "Ha! You don't even KNOW her! *I* know her!!" or something. What?

Last night I dreamed that I was a character in some sort of mid-nineties Bill Cosby crime/mystery drama. Luna and I had been taken captive by the villain and were being held in an apartment. The captivity was actually not very strict. We never saw the villain or any real signs of captivity. Mostly we just sat in the living room and ate cookies and chatted, and every now and then Vanessa Huxtable would show up to tell us how Cosby was coming along with solving the crime. Still, Luna seemed a little worried about the whole thing, because her son had just contracted a rare form of bellybutton lice, and she needed to take him to the doctor. She seemed embarrassed about telling me this, so I lied and said that I too had suffered from bellybutton lice, and that it was no laughing matter.

Then a bunch of my middle school friends came over to help formulate an escape plan. We went out into a garage and built a giant hardwood canoe-on-wheels, which we used to batter through the rear wall of the apartment and roll away down the back slope. When we hit the one obstacle along the way -- a big curb -- I activated the special wheelie-popping device we'd installed in the canoe, and we made it over successfully. But then I looked behind me, and noticed that Nick and Brian and I were the only ones who hadn't been jounced out of the canoe by the impact. So after a long argument about it, I convinced Nick and Brian to ignore Bill Cosby (who was up on the next hillside with a bunch of police vans, waving us to safety) and we went back toward the building to search for Luna and the others.

in the past few days i have had extremely vivid dreams featuring, among other things:

a. me getting indicted for beating jerry falwell to death---at a busch gardens.

b. weird al yankovic and sheryl crow rubbing tits together in a high rise building...hand cuffed.

I had a dream that all of the computers at my library had a virus, and RJG fixed them. I was so grateful to him that I was going to give him a ride back to his apartment, but then I fell down the stairs and broke my leg before I could.

Last night: I was standing around, wading in a broad stream, with Marcello and a crowd of other people. I was excited to finally see what Marcello looks like, and found that he's rather handsome, much better-looking than Ken Stott. We were standing at the mouth of a culvert, and Marcello was persuading people (mostly women) to walk through the culvert with him to talk about pop music, promising loudly that "WHAT GOES ON IN THE CULVERT, STAYS IN THE CULVERT". Eventually he persuaded some and set off; after a while I sneaked in after them, and found that they were walking round in circles in the dark, still talking about pop music.

Geez, and then I had another -- though it was mostly a dream about something else, in which we just happened to pass a little store called "The Ronan's Roar" (proprietor: Ronan). We spent like five minutes trying to figure out how "Ronan" could possibly be a pun on "lion."
