I just started season 2 in my "re-watch Lost" marathon. Walt just got taken by the creepy dudes on the boat, and Rousseau stole the as-yet unnamed (I think) Aaron. It's so fun to watch knowing what we know now! I have been paying special attention to Locke and Walt, of course.

Lost Season 5 Premier is Set for January 21

Yep, that's a Wednesday, and it's where Lost — which last season aired Thursdays at 10 pm/ET, following Grey's Anatomy — will stay.

More specifically, Lost's regular time slot will be Wednesdays at 9 pm, though the new cycle will kick off with a three-hour event — a clip show followed by the first two episodes.

Last season, Lost saw its best-laid plans to air all of its episodes uninterrupted, à la 24, waylaid by the WGA strike. At this time, sources are unable to confirm if the 17-episode Season 5 will in fact pull off the straight-through feat.

Hmm, counting down 16 weeks (2 episodes on Jan 21st) ends up the first week of May, so I doubt it will have the uninterrupted season that was the original plan for last year... bit of a bummer. My guess is they'll take most of April off again, and have another big two-hour finale for May sweeps.

Glad it's going to be back on virgin media! Might even get myself one of these to celebrate

I am hosting some parties to watch old episodes before this one premieres.. what do you people out there consider essential Lost episodes??

I am trying to keep away from just doing season finales/premieres and instead pick interesting ones, maybe in light of what we know.. The Locke and Walt episodes? Claire's "Raised by Another"? What episode would you most like to re-watch before the premiere? We'll be having several of these nights so I don't have to narrow it down much, and I don't have season 4 on DVD yet, but hope to when it comes out...

oooh those are all excellent suggestions, forgot about eko and the psychic! I should have some theme nights… “Psychic night,” "Cooper night" (i.e. Sawyer kid flashback, Locke becomes obsessed with him episode) “Hit by a car night” (there’s this one car—maybe a prop, maybe not—that has hit Michael, Locke and I think others).. I have to think of more. "Daddy issues night" would be essentially seasons 1-4.

Don't forget Psalm 23 - some of the best smokemonster action in the series - the part where it's "scanning" Eko's memories.

We've done nights for certain character arcs. For Desmond we did s2 finale, Flashes Before Your Eyes, the one where he's a monk and meets Penny, then The Constant (I'm pretty sure The Constant is my favorite episode of Lost or possibly any tv series).

I just discovered my local ABC affiliate shows two episodes of LOST in a row starting at 11:30 PM on Sunday nights. Last night I happened upon "...In Translation," the Jin flashback episode from Season 1.

I love Locke's speech in that one where he shouts at everybody.

My boyfriend and I are re-watching everything start to finish and we're in season 2, near the beginning.. the other night I watched the one where AnaL gets thrown into the pit with Sawyer, Mike and Jin. I'd forgotten about Ana Lucia, ugh. On the plus side: Libby! I love her.

yeah Desmond's character arc is the best. they established this expansive and emotionally rewarding backstory in just three episodes and then The Constant somehow managed to condense everything good about Lost into one. heady time travel and mythology mumbo jumbo, action, mystery, random death and ending all of those in one unabashedly romantic moment - so perfect.

ive seen daniel dae kim around town a few times in the last month or so since they started shooting. theres probably a million blogs talking about this already like the harold perrineau "surprise" last season but U HEARD IT HERE FIRST
