Hoo, boy. I didn't realize how much work this would be -- since abandoning it years ago, I picked it up again a few months ago. I tabulated it pretty quickly, and kind of stalled out on making the banners.

Well, about half of the banners are done, and I'm ready to start posting. Thank you so much to everyone who voted -- this is going to be a lot of fun. Since I don't have access to the blurbs people wrote (all 5 of you who did) I will have to post those later. But I'm going to start now with the banners, and maybe add more cool stuff like videos, etc once we get closer to the top end of the scale.

Played a bit of Sly 2 but couldn't get into it. The rest of these, never played.

A lot of people love ZOE2 and Disgaea, kind of surprised they only got 1 point.

I remember Sly 2 being an improvement on Sly which I bought as some kind of attempt to fill the 3D platforming Crash/Spyro-shaped hole in my life., but 1 point is about right I guess - how many points were allowed for voting?

Yeah, me too - a lot of lovely cel-shaded grindy crafting action RPG, and a minigame where after you clear a dungeon, you play golf in it!

Jak 3 makes me wonder if all of the Jaks will appear - it is kind of the Poochie of PS2.

I understand there are a lot of people who love Kingdom Hearts 2, but I understand they are probably busy still playing it.

I am playing through the Jak HD Collection right now, currently near the end of Jak II, and oh man, there were some seriously bad decisions made with this series.

Viewtiful Joe is more complex in terms of gameplay and graphics, but Hominid is much funnier and more fun, in my opinion. Hominid is essentially just Contra with fun graphics, but it is a total blast to play and really awesome and replayable. - Polyphonic

god actually, yes. although the killer croc levels had 10 years of decent game design to look back on and say "what the fuck are we doing" so it seems more egregious in some ways.

I will say, surprisingly, that playing the Killer Croc level a second time and knowing how it was supposed to work was much, much easier to deal with

Croc levels were nowhere near the awfulness of that Max Payne level. And God of War did it again later, though at least it wasn't in a pitch black room.

This was actually pretty awful but whenever I think about the kind of lovable weirdness that Japanese games used to provide (and don't any more), this is always the one that pops into my head. Rubbish gameplay, rubbish visuals, rubbish presentation, but a fun enough idea that none of those even mattered really. You had to bite a girl on the boob while she was alseep in the bath! When one of the humans spotted you and got angry and tried to kill you, you had to calm them down by bumping into specific pressure points around their bodies!

7. Sometimes the options are kind of useless, though, I mean they exist but what's the fucking point? This is why I hate Front Mission 4 SO MUCH.

Jak and Daxter 1 is basically Super Mario 64 with Crash Bandicoot's moveset.
