Things are finally converging for my first visit back to mine sunburnt homeland in ugh, too many years. Right now it looks like I'll be in Oz for the last 2 weeks of April (mostly Colac, shaddup it's where me peeps are)...and there appears to be the possibility some kind of Melbourne FAP April 21st weekend, maybe?.

Details are kinda murky right now. But I'd like very much to meet some of youse wot's in town? (rising inflection?)

Goin with the fambly to see FUCKEN FOOTIE MAYTE on Satdy April 21st
So I'm thinking maybe some kind of fap thing in the city or nearby after the FOOTIE MAYTE? In the evening or late arvo or whatevs.
Still a ways off so we can figure out locales later, but pencil me in wontcha :)

I'm staying with my bro and his gf in Seddon til Mondy 23rd and then back to Colac but fuuuuck the Melb days are filling up with catchups and coffees and fucken social butterflying the likes of which I've rarely attempted. In the past we've frequented various bars n pubs in the fitz/nth melb/collingwood areaz, the city, and in st kilda surrounds also iirc.

I must ask how this date is going as every event in the entire world is happening on the 21st for some reason

Stev3n Tyler and Zachary Brimstead are playing the dinner theatre room of a B&B in the Blue Mountains on a schoolnight, I'm thinking that will be more fun than standing in a packed Metro on a Sunday night

(esp since I will have been at the Metro til perhaps 4am that morning seeing Orbital)

Grace Darling seems close-ish to The Tote so I can be assured of an electricsound sighting, and near to Fitz for other ilxors to visit

and it looks like they have a veg-ish menu for a Trayce (it's a bit spendy, is the only thing)

(rt'd to a pub in Newcastle last time I saw 'em, it was bad sound and terrible lighting but it's the journey not the destination, oh wait)

there's certainly a solid range of restaurants/cafés, and it's very very hard to find a bad meal

melbourne's pretty much the best place ever in the world

I haven't been anywhere else though, lol
