ILX name changes aliases etc

Okay I am confused Have more people changed their posting names now that ILX has moved? Can people please help by listing any changes they have made, only if they want the new identity(s) to be contiguous with their old one(s)...

spectra, Thursday, 29 August 2002 03:32 (twenty-three years ago)

I started out as 'elizabeth anne marjorie' then used 'haloist' then 'halo halo' or just 'halo'. I don't know if I want to continue using 'spectra' because I use it in other contexts and I think I would prefer to have something ILX-specific.

spectra, Thursday, 29 August 2002 03:34 (twenty-three years ago)

you could be h to the alo

boxcubed (boxcubed), Thursday, 29 August 2002 03:50 (twenty-three years ago)

i like halo / halo halo / haloist / [insert permutation] best, elizabeth!

di smith (lucylurex), Thursday, 29 August 2002 06:12 (twenty-three years ago)

But every time I see "halo" it brings the Chills song halo fading to mind (and relatedly it was involved in this thing me and a teenagehood friend had between us which I don't want to be reminded of) and "halo halo" brings a beautiful intense Scott walker song to mind.

how come no-one is telling their name changes! are you all being secret. I'm sure some people have changed...where is mandee wolfshirt by the way anyone?

spectra, Thursday, 29 August 2002 06:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Nitsuh/ Nabisco/ Bitsuh etc to thread

Anna, Thursday, 29 August 2002 07:38 (twenty-three years ago)

yeah, I followed that one. Was donut bitch someone else previously??

spectra, Thursday, 29 August 2002 07:45 (twenty-three years ago)

I have no idea. I managed to keep up with yours, mainly because Di always calls you Liz anyway. Was Duckling monster someone else too?

Anna, Thursday, 29 August 2002 07:52 (twenty-three years ago)

wasn't donut bitch brian? i used to be gareth

gareth (gareth), Thursday, 29 August 2002 07:56 (twenty-three years ago)

I was once my full name. But now I am shorter.

RickyT (RickyT), Thursday, 29 August 2002 08:01 (twenty-three years ago)

I was once james e l.

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 29 August 2002 08:02 (twenty-three years ago)

mark s (mark s), Thursday, 29 August 2002 08:07 (twenty-three years ago)

ducklingmonster has only posted as ducklingmonster.

di smith (lucylurex), Thursday, 29 August 2002 08:10 (twenty-three years ago)

lets not start on maryann's aliases.

di smith (lucylurex), Thursday, 29 August 2002 08:11 (twenty-three years ago)

I have also pretended to be various bands on birthday threads (I don't think anyone got that it was really just me!)

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 29 August 2002 08:21 (twenty-three years ago)

maryann is me too, also duane but not doorag

mark s (mark s), Thursday, 29 August 2002 08:22 (twenty-three years ago)

POISON IMPOSTER!!

di smith (lucylurex), Thursday, 29 August 2002 08:31 (twenty-three years ago)

if mark s was me once but is now chaki, and di is mark s, and doorag is the whole internet, who am I?

clue: I am travelling west on a train at 200 kmph, my alias is on another train travelling east at 172 kmph.

rainy, Thursday, 29 August 2002 08:33 (twenty-three years ago)

ummm... trainy?

di smith (lucylurex), Thursday, 29 August 2002 08:34 (twenty-three years ago)

the trains will meet in Kansas City!

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 29 August 2002 08:36 (twenty-three years ago)

I am always rosemary, but only when I'm online.

rosemary (rosemary), Thursday, 29 August 2002 11:53 (twenty-three years ago)

I AM WHO I AM. I'm not currently located in a burning plant, though.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 29 August 2002 13:24 (twenty-three years ago)

You know that anonymous poster on that one really embarassing sex thread? Uh, that was me.

Colin Meeder (Mert), Thursday, 29 August 2002 13:26 (twenty-three years ago)

I went Nitsuh to Bitsuh to Nabisco.

Sometimes I really really want to be Jean D'Eau or Nicola Copernicus, but that'd be a bit much. I think I'll save both of these for when I finally finish this EP I'm supposed to be finishing, then give them instrumental credits.

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 29 August 2002 14:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Im the black Power Ranger

*pa-pa-pa-papa-papa* What's up, Zordon?

Zac (vicc13), Thursday, 29 August 2002 14:14 (twenty-three years ago)

boxcubed, did you have another name once? One shared by many ILXers? I was Sweet Sweet Jackie Ass once.

Arthur (Arthur), Thursday, 29 August 2002 15:28 (twenty-three years ago)

nope arthur, my name is jason

boxcubed (boxcubed), Thursday, 29 August 2002 20:30 (twenty-three years ago)

ROTFL at the vintage Power Rangers reference.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 29 August 2002 21:32 (twenty-three years ago)

what the fuck is ROTFL?!

Zac (vicc13), Thursday, 29 August 2002 22:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I am a police raid (RJG), Thursday, 29 August 2002 22:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Zac, The Black Power Ranger (vicc13), Sunday, 1 September 2002 19:04 (twenty-three years ago)

I knew that was gonna come up SO completely wrong

Zac, The Black Power Ranger (vicc13), Sunday, 1 September 2002 19:06 (twenty-three years ago)

eight months pass...
I think I am ready to stop posting with my stupid name...maybe. But how will people know I have changed? Unless I do a "formerly known as..." email address like Chris V. But I fear loosening my grip on the statscock. I think I might hide in this name a bit longer. Arguments FOR and AGAINST silly ILX names?

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 8 May 2003 19:41 (twenty-three years ago)

If I had a good fake name, like "Tracer Hand", "hstencil", "donut bitch", or even "Sterling Clover" (!), then I would be not be thinking about this.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 8 May 2003 19:45 (twenty-three years ago)

it's like band names, they're funny/clever/frought with meaning for the ten minutes after you think them up. then you have to live with them, but it's better to be recognized (and statscocked) than to go through the ridiculous process of convincing everybody you're still you.

I think yr name's relatively cool

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 8 May 2003 19:47 (twenty-three years ago)

I wish I knew when I started posting that I'd be here for longer than a day or two. Not that I mind my name -- it started out as a Yahoo account -- but I might've tried to come up with something a bit more fun. I worry that nobody knows how to pronounce my name. (Actually, I don't even know how to pronounce it.)

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 8 May 2003 19:51 (twenty-three years ago)

I think Nordicskillz is a way cooler name than hstencil.

But then again, very little beats my alter-ego:

GEIR HONKY!

hstencil, Thursday, 8 May 2003 19:52 (twenty-three years ago)

If you change your name, you should do one of those ... what are they called? Where it's like "how do you get from LAMB to STAR in five steps, changing one letter at a time, making sure each step is a real word in its own right"? You should do that. Ease us in. We might not even notice.

Either that, or change it entirely, and introduce the new you by flaming the old you on one of the threads, and we'll figure the old you was like scared off by your massive flameage or something, and the new you has replaced him, like a cowboy in a knife fight.

Tep (ktepi), Thursday, 8 May 2003 19:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Buttch already tried the gradual name change. First he was Oops. Then Hoops. Then Shoops. Then, uh ... Buttch.

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 8 May 2003 19:58 (twenty-three years ago)

See, and it worked! (Except I still think of him as Oops).

Tep (ktepi), Thursday, 8 May 2003 20:01 (twenty-three years ago)

Me too.

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 8 May 2003 20:01 (twenty-three years ago)

Go kindergarten style. First name, last initial.

mark p (Mark P), Thursday, 8 May 2003 20:01 (twenty-three years ago)

Even at FAP's, I'm Jel. It's cool, I have this disembodied sense of self sometimes. "Jel? Who's that? Oh it's me"

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 8 May 2003 20:11 (twenty-three years ago)

i am toying with the idea of changing my name to "Peepy" for 3 days.

mitch lastnamewithheld (mitchlnw), Thursday, 8 May 2003 20:26 (twenty-three years ago)

This is why I settled on Trayce - its effectively my real name, only spelt weird. So at FAPs and the like I'm still called by my name. The amusing thing is now everyone spells my real name this way, I mean even work colleagues and my grandad in birthday cards and stuff. Maybe I should change it by deed poll.

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 8 May 2003 21:46 (twenty-three years ago)

I always think of oops/buttch as a interjection-onomatopoeia combination. Like some dude is carrying something breakable like a baby or a drugged kitten and he trips and drops it and you just hear 'oops!' *BUTTCH*.

Millar (Millar), Thursday, 8 May 2003 21:50 (twenty-three years ago)

so does everyone call each other by their ILX aliases in real life?
I was amused on another thread at the thought of someone yelling "hstencil!" and waving.

gaz (gaz), Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:10 (twenty-three years ago)

at least my name is part of my username which makes it easier to abbreviate

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:24 (twenty-three years ago)

Tep was an RL nickname, except it mostly persists online now. People still use it occasionally, especially if there's another Bill around.

Tep (ktepi), Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:25 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't know if I met you if I could call you anything else.

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:29 (twenty-three years ago)

People do call me hstencil in real life. At least felicity does.

hstencil, Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:31 (twenty-three years ago)

I would call you stench.

;)

That Girl (thatgirl), Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:32 (twenty-three years ago)

does she pronounce it "aychstencil" or "huhstencil"?

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:32 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't know if I met you if I could call you anything else.

See, that way I always know if someone's talking to me or not. When someone shouts "Bill," I just assume they mean someone else. (My mother never believed me when I claimed this, though.)

Tep (ktepi), Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:34 (twenty-three years ago)

when you come to sydney jim i'm gonna stand in the audience yelling "electric sound!"

gaz (gaz), Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:44 (twenty-three years ago)

i shall have my water gun ready

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:45 (twenty-three years ago)

i'll be the one in the yellow raincoat.

gaz (gaz), Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:51 (twenty-three years ago)

I think of JayMc as JAY M.C.
Buttch is still oops when I read it.
I say, keep yer name!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:51 (twenty-three years ago)

she pronounces the h.

hstencil, Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:52 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm thinking of losing this Chris V. persona I have and going with something new. Im tired of being someone else.

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 8 May 2003 22:57 (twenty-three years ago)

I think of JayMc as JAY M.C.

That's probably the best way to read it, actually, since it's originally based on my initials: JMC. I couldn't be jmc325 (3/25=birthday) at yahoo.com (it was taken), so I spelled out the J. Only later did I realize it could be read as Jay McSomething.

Sarah, I've recommended that Nordicskillz take the name Auburn Dalliance.

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:13 (twenty-three years ago)

I gotta gooogle-proof my name.

slutsky (slutsky), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:21 (twenty-three years ago)

I thought Lyra was a real name, and proceeded to call her that for several FAPs until I was clued in.... oopsie!

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:27 (twenty-three years ago)

okay one more vote and it's back to Oops, motherfuckers. I don't wanna be the cause of your traumatic mental turmoil.

buttch (Oops), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:48 (twenty-three years ago)

I liked Oops. Buttch sounds too, well, butch.

That Girl (thatgirl), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:51 (twenty-three years ago)

b-b-but it's my nickname IRL So be it.

oops (Oops), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:55 (twenty-three years ago)

You can't fuck with my cognitive dissonance THAT easily. Change it to Oops and I'll just think of you as Buttch. Keep changing it back and forth and I'll end up thinking of you as Boops.

Why does my gummi pizza have gummi pickles on it?

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:55 (twenty-three years ago)

From the looks of it, the dissonance fucking has already begun

oops (Oops), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:58 (twenty-three years ago)

hm

Chip Morningstar (bob), Friday, 9 May 2003 06:33 (twenty-three years ago)

Oops in trying to please Luna SHOCKAH

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 9 May 2003 06:48 (twenty-three years ago)

(I believe that's my first SHOCKAH.)

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 9 May 2003 06:48 (twenty-three years ago)

jaymc: nah, baby i wuz trying ta please YOU

oops (Oops), Friday, 9 May 2003 06:56 (twenty-three years ago)

I think for the next hour, I'll be 'Wonder Twin Powers, Activate'

luna (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 07:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Starting now

Wonder Twin Powers, Activate (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 07:28 (twenty-three years ago)

I like using my own name; it's quite exotic (in the Anglo-Saxon world, at least - the English equivalent would be Thomas), so I probably won't bump into another Tuomas anytime soon. At another board I was called The Truth, but that name started to feel somewhat pompous, even though it was a comics reference. Of course, it didn't help things that no one else knew it was a comics reference.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Friday, 9 May 2003 07:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Form of a rabid tiger!
Shape of an icecube!

Wonder Twin Powers, Activate (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 07:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Hrmmmm. I think I actually preferred Masonic Boom to Kate (I love how despite the fact that other Kates post here, I am the only one that does not need a surname or initial) but it's much harder to type out every time. I'm lazy. And I refuse to register.

I was going to say I don't remember where Masonic Boom came from, but then I remembered it was a Spacemen3-related screen name. I used to have different screen names for different boards, depending on the topic of the board - hence I was Tabitha's Socks on a Blur board and Paranoid Spice on a Radiohead board. But Masonic Boom was the only one that stuck. (Pity, I quite liked Paranoid Spice, it really bothered pompous Radiohead fans who didn't get bubblegum.)

I quite frequently refer to people as their screen names. As in "Oh, look, Doomie is stalking us, here he is in another record shop!" (To the point where I think HSA actually believes that it is his real name.) And at the FAP, I introduced HSA, saying "This is Joe" and got blank looks until I added "Handsome Sound Artist?"

kate, Friday, 9 May 2003 07:44 (twenty-three years ago)

I think the hour is about up.

Wonder Twin Powers, Activate (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 08:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Woo.

luna (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 08:36 (twenty-three years ago)

'luna' just seems so much lamer now in comparison

oops (Oops), Friday, 9 May 2003 08:45 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah well call it my 15 minutes of fame, and now I'm back to boring old me.

luna (luna.c), Friday, 9 May 2003 08:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, I shall stay as this. I am convinced.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 9 May 2003 08:47 (twenty-three years ago)

you should. its a lovely name.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Friday, 9 May 2003 09:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Only later did I realize it [jaymc] could be read as Jay McSomething.

Or simply as "james", weirdly spelled?

OleM (OleM), Friday, 9 May 2003 10:53 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh yeah, I just changed my name from Nick A. to NA. I got tired of being a generic Nick and decided to become something even more generic. Who knows, it might gradually transmogrify into something else. But you can keep thinking of me as Nick if you want.

NA. (Nick A.), Friday, 9 May 2003 11:30 (twenty-three years ago)

I noticed, Nick. You will always be Nick to me.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 9 May 2003 11:33 (twenty-three years ago)

i am now starting to feel happier about people calling me gaz

gaz (gaz), Friday, 9 May 2003 11:34 (twenty-three years ago)

I was BJ. On another forum I post on I forgot my password, so I had to re-register and I couldn't use my old tag. I decided I may as well use the same tag everywhere.

'Fred Nerk' is appropriate in this case in one sense. In Oz slang FN was the name you called someone when you'd forgotten their right name.

Fred Nerk, Friday, 9 May 2003 11:58 (twenty-three years ago)

I keep interpreting NA as N/A, Not Applicable.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 9 May 2003 14:05 (twenty-three years ago)

To me NA is "nah", as in "can't be bothered". At least it's not as poncey as N.

I can't remember why I was Mark C. I know I orginally posted under my full name, but wised up to that smartish. Maybe I felt, paradoxically, that it was awkward to have a nickname among a load of people I didn't know.

Mark C (Mark C), Friday, 9 May 2003 14:15 (twenty-three years ago)

NA = Narcotics Anonymous?

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Friday, 9 May 2003 14:29 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm Tom, as most ppl have probably guessed. This is my on-sabbatical-from-moderating alias.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Friday, 9 May 2003 14:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Aaaah!

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 9 May 2003 14:58 (twenty-three years ago)

Actually, my surprise/fright shames me immediately, since one of your posts was explaining where the phrase I stole from you was originally stolen from.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Oops, no. But now that figures...

I wondered where Tico had popped up from.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:03 (twenty-three years ago)

Heh it was as plain as the nose on your face. Welcome back you scamp.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:05 (twenty-three years ago)

He did have that cool, detached moderator's tone that Mr Ewing does so well.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:17 (twenty-three years ago)

Is it Tico in honour of Tico Torres?

jel -- (jel), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:23 (twenty-three years ago)

No. I couldn't think of a good alias so I named myself after a particularly tar-like brand of dark rum certain ILXers had drunk a lot on holiday.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Well? At least I'm fresh and cool!

Talcynuts (Bryan), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 13:55 (twenty-three years ago)

yay talcynuts!

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 14:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Sarah starry gets to be just Sarah sometimes. But she was here first, so I guess she wins. *sigh*

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 14:14 (twenty-three years ago)

Usually I am "just Sarah" all the time - but that wd be bcz it is my name.

Sometimes though, I, like Tico Tico, prefer to name myself after rum.

Overproof (starry), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 14:27 (twenty-three years ago)

Back to Bryan. Sorry everyone if you actually preferred Talcynuts.

Bryan (Bryan), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 14:37 (twenty-three years ago)

Sarah is my (real) name too!

Tico Tico made me think of tacos.

Sarah MCLusky (coco), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 14:58 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm thinking of changing my name to something like, Mr. Fu-Q Mann

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 15:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Tico Tico has never made me think of tacos.

I am actually taco-ed out after yesterdays sniffling-into-tacos-fest. I suppose I would quite like a big bowl of pasta but it's not a full on calling at Sainsburys obsession yet. Actually, I am mentally running through racks of Sainsburys as I type and see nothing I can be bothered with one way or the other. Is this down to overindulgence or yet another facet of my life faded to grey? At least if it was I might be able to lose some weight and ever get rid of this oral fixation of mine and my terrible mis-use of food but I very much doubt it.

Sarah (starry), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 15:05 (twenty-three years ago)

Sarah M -- Is there ever any rhyme or reason for McLusky vs. MCLusky vs. McLUsky? It boggles my mind whenever I see a new letter capitalized!

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 15:09 (twenty-three years ago)

There are 20 different personalities in my head. No, I just type in my pseudo quickly and figure that as long as people can figure out my identity, it's ok. And sometimes I drop out letters and becomes McLusy or just go with Mclusky. Meh. In other words, I AM LAZY.

Sarah MCLUsky (coco), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 15:37 (twenty-three years ago)

I had no idea -- I'm a little disappointed that it isn't Tico Torres.

Nicole (Nicole), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 15:39 (twenty-three years ago)

MCLU = the Micronesian Civil Liberties Union

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 15:39 (twenty-three years ago)

I had tacos the other night. They were numulous.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 15:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Leftover chinese takeaway is the way to go. Yesterdays average beef chow mein becomes the FOOD OF THE GODS. (Also the mess of the gods but there you go).

I lie, tonight I have craving for a PINT.

Sarah (starry), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 15:44 (twenty-three years ago)

Sarah - I guess this is as good a place to ask as any: is your email supposed to read "Seventy-seven tigers kiss us"? This has been bothering me for some time.

chester (synkro), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 15:52 (twenty-three years ago)

It looks to me like it's referring to 77 American straight-edge tigers.

slutsky (slutsky), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 16:37 (twenty-three years ago)

Ha ha. It has nothing to do with straight edge. I just couldn't get an email address I wanted so I put x's around 77 tigers. And then someone already had that one too. So they give you these choices...: You could do this email or this one or that... So I chose x77tigersx with the us at the end. Me, being an idiot, thought it just meant us as in you and me and didn't realize it meant the U.S. of A. I was born in 1977 and I like kitty cats. At the time, I had a zine called the Paper Tiger. And I liked the idea of 77tigers all running across a huge field together. And it has nothing to do with sports either. Thanks for askin.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 17:56 (twenty-three years ago)

I was born in 77.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 17:59 (twenty-three years ago)

That's impossible!!?!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 18:01 (twenty-three years ago)

two weeks pass...
Hm

Cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 31 May 2003 21:26 (twenty-three years ago)

pretty sure Zemko became Snoom, if that's what you're looking for...

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Saturday, 31 May 2003 21:32 (twenty-three years ago)

haha! diamond I met zemko and snoom at gigs and they look nothing alike.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Sunday, 1 June 2003 11:58 (twenty-three years ago)

The morning star is the moon.

Cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 1 June 2003 14:53 (twenty-three years ago)

i have adopted a new persona, but it is a secret

jess (dubplatestyle), Sunday, 1 June 2003 14:58 (twenty-three years ago)

I was briefly my full name, 'Meirion John Lewis', because I thought you had to type it at the registration screen.

Changed it quickly yo 'mei' which is my IRL nickname anyway.
If you ever meet me pronounce it 'my' as in 'my house' or 'my favourite color is' please.

Or don't, whatever :-)

mei (mei), Monday, 2 June 2003 13:32 (twenty-three years ago)

Cozen (Cozen), Monday, 2 June 2003 21:31 (twenty-three years ago)

What did I do to deserve that?

oops (Oops), Monday, 2 June 2003 21:32 (twenty-three years ago)

Passed around a party-sized platter of fuc?

estela (estela), Monday, 2 June 2003 21:34 (twenty-three years ago)

That just gave me an image of waiters winding through parties, "fuc, sir?" "fancy a fuc, madame?" "miss, would you care for a fuc?"

luna (luna.c), Monday, 2 June 2003 21:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Passing around a platter fuc does not a Jess make

oops (Oops), Monday, 2 June 2003 21:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Nicole (Nicole), Tuesday, 3 June 2003 01:08 (twenty-three years ago)

one month passes...
I don't care too much about rock or rockism, and I'm tired of my name creating incorrect confusion (not just once or twice recently, but in general) that just results in wasted time; so I am changing my name to Al Andalous, which is more closely related to my musical preoccupations.

Al Andalous, Saturday, 19 July 2003 00:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Weird Al suxxx!

James Blount (James Blount), Saturday, 19 July 2003 01:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Chuck Eddy to the thread!

Al Andalous, Saturday, 19 July 2003 01:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Sporty Thievz 4-eva!!!

James Blount (James Blount), Saturday, 19 July 2003 01:10 (twenty-two years ago)

It's a lurvly name change. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 19 July 2003 01:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I wish I could change it to Carter Tutti.

Al Andalous, Saturday, 19 July 2003 01:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm thinking of changing my name to Rickey Le Rickey and writing all my posts backwards in white font if someone will teach me how to post in white font.

James Blount (James Blount), Saturday, 19 July 2003 01:29 (twenty-two years ago)

it's the backwards part that's tricky

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Saturday, 19 July 2003 01:31 (twenty-two years ago)

no way - linda fiorentino!

James Blount (James Blount), Saturday, 19 July 2003 01:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I was Owl Man. And still am, I guess, if I still feel like it.

Larcole (Nicole), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 21:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I was hoping for Mordicskillz.

Leee (Leee), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 21:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I was moping for Hordicskillz.

Larcole (Nicole), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 22:05 (twenty-two years ago)

I am in awe of the preceding.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Millar (Millar), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:37 (twenty-two years ago)

HEY! Who is that?!?!

phil-two (phil-two), Friday, 12 September 2003 21:43 (twenty-two years ago)

It's me. (I didn't log out, it should have the 'Cozen' brand showing if you have 'show all details' checked in settings.)

David. (Cozen), Friday, 12 September 2003 21:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Phil are you named after the Verlaines song?

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Friday, 12 September 2003 21:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Your parents are *so* cool, if you are.

David. (Cozen), Friday, 12 September 2003 22:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 13 September 2003 00:08 (twenty-two years ago)

(Trife, you should still be trife anyway.)

Tep (ktepi), Saturday, 13 September 2003 00:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Phil are you named after the Verlaines song?
nope, what song?

Your parents are *so* cool, if you are
david, i'm just glad they didn't name me Kwak-Hong, or something like that.

phil-two (phil-two), Saturday, 13 September 2003 00:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I should change my name to Traycer Hand just to confuse the crap out of everyone.

Trayce (trayce), Saturday, 13 September 2003 01:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Phil - seriously I wasn't sure if you were a big New Zealand pop fan or something. But yeah, this great band the Verlaines had a song called "Phil Too" (6 on that tracklist) .. wasn't sure if you were maybe paying tribute w/ yr moniker..

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Saturday, 13 September 2003 08:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I tried being swansong, but I felt pretentious.

jel -- (jel), Saturday, 13 September 2003 09:22 (twenty-two years ago)

gershy, Sunday, 26 August 2007 01:32 (eighteen years ago)

I think there's another thread where the new nicknames are up for some regulars who changed when we had to re-register.

Herman G. Neuname, Sunday, 26 August 2007 01:42 (eighteen years ago)

Why do people change aliases? What's the point? I say pick a name and fucking stay with it.

Mr. Snrub, Sunday, 26 August 2007 04:44 (eighteen years ago)

who did you used to be again?

Filey Camp, Sunday, 26 August 2007 07:31 (eighteen years ago)

Horace Mann = Dr. Superman
Miccio = da croupier
jfury = Je4nne Ć’ury

Nicole = I feel like she's posted here lately as just Nicole? Maybe I'm misremembering.

The rest I don't think post here anymore (neither Martin Skidmore nor Martin Mushrush).

jaymc, Monday, 27 August 2007 04:18 (eighteen years ago)

Nicole has withdrawn from ILX for the time being, possibly permanently.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 27 August 2007 04:23 (eighteen years ago)

That sounds ominous, Ned.
