I just accidently found this page full of these. I loved these when I was a kid and not too long ago was wondering about them. I don't think 6 or 7 year old H.Mann even got most of the jokes, but I loved 'em anyway.

Absolutely loved these things. I collected them obsessively as a kid, they fascinated me. There was a little corner grocery store a few blocks away from the little subdivision where I grew up, but to get to it you had to go a couple blocks down the main thoroughfare and my parents forbade me from riding my bike outside the subdivision. I would often collect dimes and nickels and sneak off down to that store after school to buy Wacky Packages.
