It's not an exaggeration to say he got every single call he was asked to make the wrong way round; highlights were giving a throw to Mangotsfield, then to us, then to them again and then awarding Mangotsfield the free kick for a foul then booking their player for making it.

Last season's best was flagging a player offside for passing to himself while dribbling with the ball, I think this outdoes it.

It looks like Coady is back in favour then, a lot of people have been commenting on his performance yesterday. Even he won't recognise half the players on saturday and how our impoverished outpost has been transformed into a sturdy festung :p I'm not getting too carried away after 4 games tbh. I can remember one season when Millwall made a good start and then barely won a game after xmas and got relegated. But I do genuinely believe Wagner is pretty special and it is probably a once in a generation thing that such a great manager rocks up at Town.

Coady was pretty poor last season but he was in a poor team that was getting changed week in week out as Jackett floundered. whether it's a confidence issue or better coaching and a more clearly defined role the improvement has been obvious in the first few games. he's still only a kid so it's great to see him taking this chance and running with it - see also Jed Wallace - especially since they must realise they are suddenly more disposable than they were last season if they don't step up.

He started very strongly for us and then faded a bit towards the end of the season. But that was under a mediocre manager + without much competition for places. I reckon he would have also really flourished under Wagner and perfectly fitted into his system.

Wagner definitely seems to be the difference for you, as Zenga has been for us so far - the team that thrashed Birmingham yesterday started 10 players from Kenny Jackett's squad - Bodi was the only new guy - and they looked like a completely different side.

Proper game of two halves yesterday against our title challengers from last year.

1-0 down in the first minute and 2 down on 16 it felt like it was going to be a very long afternoon. Came out better in the second half but reached the hour mark with nothing to show for it.

First goal went in after they went to sleep on the right. Then we took the ball straight off them after the kick off and scored again. Then we took the ball straight off them AGAIN and brushed the woodwork. Then returned the goal kick and took the lead.

A late penalty made it safe, but three goals in under 4 minutes utterly broke their defence mentally.

xp Coady played a couple of games at right back while Iorfa was suspended but his best 2 games, including yesterday, have been more or less box to box centre mid

We had the misfortune of quite the worst refereeing performance I've ever seen at our tie today. Some highlights:

Giving a player FOUR final warnings, including one where he brought the captain over to underline the point.

Taking a yellow card halfway out of his pocket before remembering he'd booked the player already, so putting it back in and changing the free kick to a throw in.

Sending a player off with a straight red because he fell on the player that came through the back of him two footed (although that did warrant a free kick).

Gave a penalty for vague leg waving near a player heading for the corner flag chasing the ball, and nearer it than the edge of the box.

Booked the wrong player (6ft+ with a beard vs 5'6" and shaved head) for kicking the ball away when they weren't close enough to confuse.

Missed a full on flying Superman punch clearance from the left back.

He didn't actually book the player in the first example by the end either.

There is definitely something fishy about our attendance figures, they have been decent by our standards but they don't seem true. I think the club are doing that add the non-attending season ticket holders to the total figure thing that some clubs do. And with the cheap ticket offer that is a lot more season ticket holders than usual. Happily where I sit has banks of empty seats and not many arseholes, which has been a recurring issue with my match day experience in the last decade.

the 2-1 result definitely flattered QPR today, probably some similarities with Wagner's main bro's 2-1 win last night in terms of first half domination/2nd half throwing a bone to the opposition. To say we squeaked through today is an understatement. Tried to sit back at 2-1 and played far too deep, their equaliser felt inevitable. Then winning it with a potentially undeserved penalty as the last kick of the valley. Seen a photo since (in clear and obvious breach of the FA rules) that shows it could have been ball to hand, but the most damning thing about the pic is that the defender has spread himself pretty large.

FA rules you say? I avoided mentioning it in the last round but the FA are fucking dicks. At the moment it's still all well into non-league - the level above us is the highest. But the FA is forcing us all to adhere to the full standards package. This means, for example, you can't serve drinks in view of the pitch. This has led to teams having to temporarily board up windows.

Worse yet is the media policy. We have a pretty serious media presence, with multiple gopros set up leading to a very informed Twitter feed. But you're only allowed to put up still photos and video in the daylight hours of Sunday; less than 20 photos and less that 10 videos none of which can be longer than 30 seconds and with a combined run time of less than 3 minutes. In the last round Salisbury put up a clip on the Saturday night, and in the debate surrounding their tweet an FA spokesman said it was fine because the rules didn't apply until the third round, despite what the compliance document says. Then in the morning an FA Compliance Officer emailed them telling them to take it down or else.
